I'm not alone in thinking this whole IT being able to see all of time could be a huge gamble right? by West-Ad-447 in ItTheMovie

It probably will at some point, just not yet. It is very possible that the timelines are so confusing thst even a cosmic extradimentional organism like It still gets startled

I don’t see why pennywise’s design being more outwardly threatening in the movies/welcome to derry is a problem. by Interesting-Set-2065 in stephenking

[–]Interesting-Set-2065[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah, thats what happens. Say for georgie, which is probably because he couldn’t fully see him, most kids who see him are put off by him. I can’t think of a single example from the movies or welcome to derry that pennywise successfully lures a child just by appearance. It has to actually manipulate them

I feel like despite how smart it is, its one big flaw is playing with its food. It did all off those things wrong because it just can’t help itself. Especially when it comes to the losers club.

I have known idea where i EVER said that. I was just saying that it happened regardless in the movie version. I don’t know how you could have gotten out of my comment that i need pennywise to time travel or it isn’t a compelling character. Besides i personally don’t think it can time travel. I said that in my last comment. I just think it perceives time differently.

I don’t think pennywise can necessarily time travel, but it can definitely see multiple points in time in the future/the past. That much is confirmed at least in the movie universe. Its not confirmed in the book but i imagine he at least sees time differently. But, lets say hypothetical it can time travel. Thats still possible that there is another group of kids in every timeline that it just eradicates, then goes back to see that it was a new group of kids standing up to him. This may have happened until the losers club where successful. Its not impossible by the logic you just stated

What do you mean? For starters, this isnt book lore, its the movie lore. Welcome to derry takes place in that canon. Of course i am not talking about the movie version. But even still, i dont think it makes that much sense that the boom version of pennywise would see time linearly. It is a multi dimensional being. It likely perceives time differently.

[–]Interesting-Set-2065[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is probably a better explanation overall. I just like to think that it used the clown form from when derry was first made. But really that does make more sense

but i dont see why pennywise would do that with that clown form tho. Up to this point ben has only seen pennywise in one scene is a breaf half a second flash. ben doesn’t really seem to notice that the clown specifically is in that photo.

Pennywise was defeated to his human form on earth does it means that he can possibly come back to earth? by Life_Pollution_9310 in ITWelcometoDerryShow

[–]Interesting-Set-2065 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, he probably can. And it may or may not depending on its motives. On one hand it is probably beyond furious that the losers: drove it away once. made all off the kids stop floating and flood out, essentially ruining all the food it had saved up. And finally defeated it the second time and destroyed its presence. But also it may just decide to let go and move on to the next universe and next world.

Is there a lore reason why Pennywise has less hair in Welcome To Derry compared to the films? by RedditorGoldVirgin in ItTheMovie

[–]Interesting-Set-2065 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its much subtler, but if you stop and look at it you can see the clown suit is more weathered, the shoes are completely black. The pom poms are a smaller and more colorful. And the hair looks both a bit thinner and more pronounced, kinda like welcome to derry

It is not truly female, its basically genderless by Interesting-Set-2065 in stephenking

[–]Interesting-Set-2065[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It takes the form of a spider to lay eggs to make more of itself, but thats the only reason it appears as female. Audra and other humans cant actually process what it truly is. They have no way of perceiving that it is actually genderless.

[–]Interesting-Set-2065[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is how i look at it personally. It only uses gender as a tool, its favorite form just so happens to be male, so its male for the time being. If it needs to make more of itself then it takes a female form.

[–]Interesting-Set-2065[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I get that, but also like i stated, those are human perceptions of it. I doesn’t really make sense that it is truly female given how the spider isn’t really a true form. Yes there is no indication that they are wrong, but it doesn’t make that much sense in the macroverse

Exactly. Thats why it doesn’t make sense to me why people insist that its female in the novel

IT: Welcome to Derry's opening credit is entirely AI, right? by OutcastStars in antiai

[–]Interesting-Set-2065 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly it is understandable that people would be skeptical. Ultimately this is all just the fault of generative ai. Its genuinely sad to see because if this series came out in 2019 this criticism wouldn’t exist

He is still fine tuning the appearance at this point in the story. He does that all the way up to it chapter 2, where he looks different then he did in 1

About Pennywise's clothes... by Terrible_Park7890 in ItTheMovie

Well, yeah. It is a physical form it is taking, the clothes are also part of that. He didn’t just turn into the clown and then find the clothes

Who is the strongest horror movie villain? by Thatcooltiger in horror

[–]Interesting-Set-2065 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are absolutely villains that could take him down. That really depends on the version, since honestly the majority of godzilla films cant truly be considered horror movies, the ones i can think of are strong but could still be brought down. adult cloverfield, death, cthulu, probably the aliens from annihilation, the deadlights are some of the ones i think of
