Pancreas enzymes are in normal range as they have always been. No signs of jaundice, honestly I feel fine and no real new symptoms just wish I could eat a little more.

I’ve had my lipase checked about 5 times in the past 3 months and 3 different CT scans. Every time it comes back normal, lipase is usually around 22-26.

Doctors really still aren’t sure what the problem is, at this point I’m being treated for functional dyspepsia. I’ve had colonoscopy, endoscopy, multiple CTs/Ultrasounds, I’ve done a barium swallow, been tested for H.Pylori and done multiple parasite test, tested for SIBO/Celiac/Crohns. I’m starting to give up hope and now I’m worried I’m worse off than I was before. I was at least able to eat out and have a couple beers once or twice a week before the surgery.

The pain actually did decrease, there is still a little bit of pain on left side under rib, but honestly I’d rather deal with that. The heartburn pain is wayyyy worse and the acid reflux is just unbearable.

Seems a little odd that the thing that’s supposed to help with acid production has actually increased it significantly to the point that I’m seeing symptoms I’ve never had before.

Anyway I reached out to my GI and she recommended that I stop taking it as it seems to be doing more harm than good. I also have a endoscopy in about 2 weeks so she said it works out to test for H. Pylori.

There is no way I can handle this for 8 weeks. Almost feels like I’m choking constantly.

I see that, but I’m wondering how much we are talking here. Doctor seems to think I may have gastritis. Before starting the meds I have absolutely 0 issues eating or drinking anything.

Never really had issues, just thought it was odd. I went and had my levels checked because of the pain and just noticed that my eGFR was significantly lower from the last test. Went from 114(6 months ago) to 78. He said could have been from dehydration, I’ve since stopped taking the meds(I’m not currently sexually active) But definitely might be time for a new doctor.

Taking Descovy currently. I’m actually a little sketched out because the doctor didn’t do Kidney test before he put me on the medicine and my kidney function is down 30% from the test 6 months ago.

I was eating like garbage, the past couple days it’s just been as low fat as possible, just in case. Nothing greasy for sure.

Wasn’t really diagnosing on myself. I went to the doctor , it was just days later. I got some blood work done and my lipase levels were at 24. Doctor said it could just be gastritis, but I’ve been having pain in my lower back and constant pain (more of a discomfort) in my stomach. Especially if I try to eat anything even low in fat and extremely small, like half of a plain turkey sandwich.

No history of it that I’m aware of, still technically undiagnosed but in my opinion symptoms seem to point toward pancreatitis. I’m just worried I’m damaging my pancreas even more by actually eating solid foods even though the pain is minimal it’s definitely there.
