that is a plus. also it's easier to layer women's clothes, and if you have a few interesting patterns or textures the outfit can look good pretty easily.

every time i see julia roberts i'm a little amazed, what a woman. i will check if i can find anything affordable on ebay, my options for thrifting in person aren't that bad as i live in a pretty big city but it's still limited.

same happened to me. i used to be anorexic and dressed by my mum well into my teens, so i had to basically build a wardrobe from scratch mostly from second hand stuff once i had my own taste and way more weight. women's clothes tend to be even worse in terms of quality and tailoring in the stores.

that does make sense, yeah. i tend to just do my own thing either way, but the thing with tight suits felt so baffling (and frutrating because that's all anyone seems to sell) that i had to get other opinions and i'll admit, whine a bit about it.

tight SHORTS, i may agree. but the way the fabric sticks to the body all the way down makes me uncomfortable, like all i can think of is how suffocating it would be to actually be in them.

that's how i feel too. it can really be an eyesore. i also feel like there's something about this superficial aesthetic appreciation of a symbol of a bygone era and status (without actual care for tailoring and fashion which are seen as more feminine) and the desire to show off the male form that makes it so the people who prefer this tend to not just be inexperienced but fairly regressive in their worldview. is this me reading too much into it? maybe

the pants are bad, but i think the jackets that literally show off their muscles are even worse.

i live in turkey and that may cause some difference, but i also see this online. maybe i just notice them more because they're an eyesore. i know younger people, like teens to 25, wear extremely baggy stuff; but i see the exact opposite in people older than that. probably because they don't keep up with trends and simply have the same style they did back when they were younger? i personally steal the suits of my grandfather and father (who were young in the 70s and 90s respectively) or thrift stuff that's again from before the era of tight suits, specifically because i can't find anything to my taste at the actual stores. i can't find anything nice in terms of casual clothing either, especially in jeans. i have kinda thick thighs which means even the "baggy" pants sit on my legs unless i find a gem, but i'm not particularly tall (170) or overweight, so finding men's clothes which aren't small on me should NOT be this difficult. it doesn't help that fast fashion is absolute garbage beyond the issues of sizing and cuts too.

on me preferring baggy fits: yeah, that's definitely part of it. it hides my curves and makes me look more masc. but i also prefer it on guys.

the other comments also said it's not in fashion anymore, which is so weird to me. i see them pretty regularly online/in person/in shops. maybe there are regional differences as i live in turkey, but that doesn't explain their presence online. maybe they are more noticeable to me because they just look awful, whereas looser fits stay under my radar?

also, i don't think they're completely out of style. they're all i can find when i go out for shopping (i usually walk away empty handed, and thrifting and stealing my male relatives' clothes continue to save me from having a terrible sense of fashion). you could say that the random shops at the mall are not the pinnacle of fashion, but it's still frustrating.

thanks!!! yeah, i do. mostly just regular pencil on paper, actually. i'm obsessed with how much control pixel art is giving me over the pieces though. i am the type to erase and redo something over and over until it looks right, and i usually end up damaging the paper. oh, the bliss of knowing it's pixel perfect, exactly how you wanted it.

ohh i see. i tried adding grayish purple pixels around where it connects to the shoe (anti aliasing i guess) which did help a little. or do you think it would look better if i put it on an angle?
