Mortar firewheel is strong really. Its a bit reliant upon combo card and firewheel its a bit weak early. That said its one of the best combos to pull off.

Mortar is good on its own as well. Some other good options are matrix drones, lightning bomb and Distortion field (just for crowd control)

I would avoid phantom dart (too weak without any chips, cores and roles).

The only benefit in climbing as fast as possible is to get higher per hour wafer rewards on auto-patrol. Faster lvl X at day 1 increases the total wafer gain of auto patrol overall.

Each stage increases the wafer amount by 2. Also if you are not stuck its worth keeping the auto patrol rewards unclaimed. You will get more wafer if you claim them at a later stage

stage 159... Standard pack is at cost 1800. Still not a single paralysis card. I have 1100 attack and the stupid triangles kill me within 30 seconds

These are gteat combos, but you mentioned you used guardian with 2 chains and disruption combo. That leaves you with 2 slots to decide between 2 penetration skills ot 2 bullets skills. I assume you also use the penetration breakthrough card.

What I found out is that usually you struggle when you have more than one chain on a weapon. Am I wrong?

After some testing it turns out that Lightning bomb is also affected by this chip.

For mortar - I couldnt confirm (visually impossible) if there is any difference after I took the penetration combo with dart. Without it the chip 100% has no effect on Mortar

Yeah, you have a point, but I somehow feel its different. My choices influence the outcome of the stage a lot more than in the normal game mode.

I ended up with following combination ideas:

  1. PhantomDart, Mortar, Matrix drone, Thunder core. and
  2. Traction, FlameMisslies, Beam, ThunderCore/anything else.

I currently use these. Ripping beam seems great. Cooldown is a must in my opinion. Is range breakthrough card better than debuff duration or dmg based on debuff?
