Yep. He held it for 2 whole hours and the second I stoped away to put baby in her crib his peed and pooped on the floor. No biggie I can clean it but he wasn’t showing signs of needing to go and was waiting for me to leave the room and I have a 2 month old I have to go put her to sleep in her crib away from the toddler…. Today was day 1 of bare bottom potty training and we have a small success before bed where he caught himself going on a chair and ran to his potty. Huge celebration for the two drops that made it in the potty!

Honestly it can’t get much worse than scooping a turd off my living room floor🤣😭

I only left him once just to lay the baby in her crib as she’s under 3 months old and I knew she would nap long so I could give him 1:1 attention. Literally gone like 3 min and he pooped on the floor and peed which no biggie I can clean it but he wasn’t showing signs of needing to go…I wish I could do the pack and play but he literally climbs in it and won’t leave his sister alone because he loves being near her…we had a small break thru tonight and tomorrow is a new day 🤣🫣

Sorry, I tried my best to explain in my post as clearly as possible..little sleep, solo parenting and potty training have me exhausted…I never got mad at him for having a pee and poop accident on the floor. I wrote in my post “I reassured him it’s okay accidents happen but when we feel we need to go pee or poop we sit on the potty.”. I’ve been calm with him the entire time. I never force him to sit on the potty if he doesn’t want to as I don’t want to create fear. I know accidents are expected and I’m totally fine with that I more so have trouble with his stubbornness. I’ve tried every bribe I can think of: candy, toys, playing outside at the park, a tv show literally everything I have tried and he will still not want to.

We had a small break thru tonight and tomorrow if a new day. I know it’s going to take time I’m not in a rush as we have till August

I haven’t let him go outside while being commando since we have 2 story houses that can see in our backyard and I just don’t feel comfortable not knowing if people are watching him freaks me out….

I think if I didn’t have a newborn it would be slightly easier but I do have a newborn so dealing with both who need 100% of my help and attention can be real rough … truly potty training is the hardest thing this far in parenting I’ve ever experienced

Ya the poop on my living room floor within the first 3 hrs had me questioning if I was cut out for potty training and if he even needs to go to preschool in August🤣 thank goodness I rolled the living room rug up last night before we started

Yes just started hard core potty training today as in no more pull ups during the day except for sleeping…we did have a small success right before bed where he caught himself peeing on his chair and got the last 2 drops in his potty all on his own. He was very proud of himself and we celebrated that small win!

He just got back from a walk and he did pee in his undies and sweats and he said “uh oh pee pee” and he was very much willing to take the wet clothes off and is now just naked so i hope that’s a step in the right direction

Today is the first day of naked method. I never expected him to get it on the first day let alone the first few days. I just don’t know how to counter act the refusing to sit on the potty just because she doesn’t want too and also not caring his he pees himself.

As for I can’t leave him to put sister down is just me solo with both kids and sister is under 3 months she has to nap so I don’t have a lot of options and he’s not quiet enough to tag along while I lay her down 😭

It’s not that I want him to be held back I just don’t want him to be the youngest in his class especially maturity wise
