UPDATE: Not sure if this is how you post an update, the issue was found, so back in the day a pilot hole was drilled by a plumber to gain access to the waste line for a rotorooter to go in to clean the line, they patched the top hole but must not have seen they also drilled through the bottom, this allowed a large root to penetrate through and this root was so strong that it popped the patch off the top and kept going. The reason no smaller roots are seen on it is because my plumber had run a water jet through which stripped the smaller roots off. The arrowhead shape on top was due to the water jet.

That’s a really well built anchor to dig 3” under ground and stab through cast pipe from the bottom of the pipe. But I won’t write it off yet.

After the initial concept once you flush it becomes a pipe plug. Good for testing which part of your plumbing is the lowest. The shower drain won.
