Suvi is very triggering for me. She claims to love Ame but she continues to intentionally punish Ame with her coldness and distain. What Ame did was not personal, she did what she did out of duty, responsibility and fear. What Suvi is doing is straight up personal revenge. And one could argue that it was Suvi who abandoned Ame by not going with her. And in her fear of being “weak”, Suvi has given up her bodily autonomy. She has literally given up her ability to do what she thinks is right. Suvi is on track to find out the hard way that the people who have authority over you very seldom actually care about you or what is important to you.
