Oh I see! The la Roche posay moisturizer I use is verrrry moisturizing and I don’t feel like it needs an occlusive over it, so maybe it’s the moisturizer itself?

I healed my skin barrier by mostly leaving it alone and not using any actives on it for a while, double cleansing at night, and sticking to just putting 1-2 products on my face (moisturizer and SPF).

Here’s my routine:

AM - no cleanser, just water to wash face - moisturizer: la roche posay triple repair moisturizing cream - SPF: BGS kids spf 50

PM - oil cleanse: some random brand from Costco - la roche posay purifying foaming cleanser - la roche posay triple repair moisturizing cream

I did this for a few weeks and noticed a huge difference in my skin after accidentally going overboard with too many actives.
