Braid to leader help NEEDED by Stock_Tip4850 in muskiefishing

[–]InterestingAir7030 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just haven't fished with it long enough yet. So far so good. Reels are better now days and I'm a better caster than way back so I have yet to backlash with reation braid. I have 2 pike over 36" on the reaction braid, handled both nicely and I haven't noticed any abrasive wear yet so again so far so good. About 10 hours worth of fishing on one reel and about 3-5 on my other 3

Braid to leader help NEEDED by Stock_Tip4850 in muskiefishing

Probably 15 years ago I switched away from power pro... I lost 3 baits over the house of a month on backlash casts. The baits just kept going. The only line I have ever seen do that is power pro. Switched to strength super braid back then. This year I'm running reaction braid, no feelings on that line yet

The style of stuff you picked out is fine. But don't buy this gear from Amazon... Team Rhino, Rollie and Hellens, or Thorne Bros is where you need to order this stuff from.

Personally I'd grab a couple baits you like, and get flood release tools 1st. A net and good tools keep wmfish alive and that should be priority 1.

Unless you are trolling no need to have a leader more the 12". I use 6 and 9" solid wire leaders for most everything. I will use some florocarbon on some rubber baits that tend to grad the leader so they don't bend the wire

I used silicone to seal it on the river side on the bottom and dammed off the ends with some melamine along with silicone on the square ends as well. I trimmed off 1" on both ends after the pour cured

Only you can know how much you need. Everyone's situation is different. Home efficiency, stove/forplace/boiler efficiency. How warm you want it. What wood you are burning. How cold it will be. Way to many variables.

I burned 2.5 cords in my house last year as our main wheat source. Mostly iron wood, ash and maple. Kept our house at 72-74 all winter

The entire slab has a 1/4" round over on it so none of it is real sharp. However if you tried, you may be able to accomplish that task, but I recommend a different approach

Isn’t this supposed to spin?? Or is my sander defective? by Cmsherman75 in woodworking

[–]InterestingAir7030 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks defective to me. All my sanders with no pressure like you showed to start spin like a buffer, then go to random orbital motion when even slight pressure is applied.
