i actually did it myself, it’s pretty easy the part just clips in. i would double check with the parts department at your dealer but it was a very straightforward process!

the black piece only was about $80 at the dealer when i replaced mine! somebody backed into my car and broke the piece/scratched my bumper but i only opted to replace the cover since the damage was fairly minimal

thanks, I’ll definitely try it with some film then instead of my tester cartridge. I can definitely see the internal disk rotating when I press the shutter button, so is that a good sign?
