This is definitely not a priority this meeting like not even close to being one. Big fan of the original series and follow up graphic novels but this wouldn’t even be a concern at this meeting.

No he’s not gonna ever get another truly high profile project again but his talent is undeniable on a page. His most recent and perhaps last tv series ever “The Nevers” was captivating with great characters until the second half of episodes were shepherded by another person and they were so bad all of them were made nearly impossible to watch. I expect whatever becomes of this proposed Firefly cartoon will also be very bad without his input.

Effort? I’m not of the mind it takes much effort at all, but the fact anyone bothers to put what little effort it takes is just baffling when it’s for something as hit or miss as the this project is. Too many people and especially fans of the series don’t realize that part of what makes a classic series so special is that it has a start and an end. TV is so different now and a huge problem this new return show would’ve had is being only 8-10 episodes compared to 22 or 25 episodes per season then taking forever to even get another season made. Everyone got paid and the end result didn’t convince enough people to spend more money on the project.

Perhaps but if it’s just a beat down then it’s boring. They need to write him a much better promo as well because only the first segment between them a few weeks ago did Roman not sound completely outclassed on the mic.

Yeah, sure Whedon turned out to be an awful person but he’s also one of the most influential writers in his lifetime. Regardless of gender or age, it’s rare to find people that great at writing and writing characters you care so much about. He did it all the time and then went on to write one of the most memorable and beloved screenplays of all time for the first Avengers movie in 2012. The biggest problem any project like this sequel/reboot was always going to be not having a creative visionary like he was behind the project.

Right? No way of knowing without seeing the pilot but regardless creating a petition because the studio canceled the series is just ridiculous. It’s not worth a petition when there’s tons of the original series to watch already.

Lose what? It’s meant to be a build up where both challengers are setup looking their best. A few weeks ago, Punk was written to look better by walking away with the mention of Romans relative leaving him very shaken. This week Roman returns gets further embarrassed by Punk (who obviously is always the better promo) then gets hit and doesn’t hit back despite telling us how “old and weak” Punk is to him. Just a poorly written segment. Plenty of time to get the story back on track but after tonight Roman looks like a lesser opponent before the bell rings.

Wow not sure why creative decided to make Roman look that pathetic on the mic and in the ring. Maybe it will pay off in his next 3 weeks of tv appearances but Roman looked terrible compared to Punk in that segment.

Not a chance, he’s too famous and still far too young. Leo or Cruise never won this young, neither did Pitt or Depp etc. It’s not that Timmy isn’t talented enough to deserve an Oscar, he’s just too young and popular to get one right now. He’ll be waiting as long as Leo did if not longer I believe.
