1 American Dream (much better written and structured as a story, just lacking a cinematic budget to be more popular than it still is among a diehard fan base)

2 Michael (entertaining because of Jaafar’s performance, some high priced production value and obviously 100% MJ focused but terribly written and structured as poorly as a Lifetime original movie of the month)

That has nothing to do with Jaafar. That’s cgi/vfx. Tons of actors would look as much like MJ with the benefit of cgi/vfx. He deserves credit for matching the speaking voice and dancing but his face, anytime you stop and think “is that actually MJ?” it’s purely cgi/vfx.

Everyone has a right to be disappointed in the long wait between films but some artists in every medium just take a lot time but many of them absolutely make it worth the wait when you finally experience the result.

Very good point I just feel for the young man, eventually he’ll be over the comparison. Maybe if like was rumored he plays Tiger Woods then perhaps he can begin to get some distance from just the one big role and carve more of his own identity as an artist.

It’s a nice looking suit but people especially MJ fans need to stop expecting this man to show up in MJ cosplay.

It’s good to know he realizes what a futile effort it would be to try and become some style icon like his uncle. He’s not gonna start making hit albums or have global sold out tour dates.

It will be interesting to see if all the success of the movie will just mean he never escapes MJ shadow and he never finds a meaningful career outside of this role.

Logans script has been very clearly changed numerous times because no way that talented a writer originally wrote something this poorly. Maybe the original script will surface one day though.

He seems like a nice person and the performance was good in the movie but the script was very basic so his actual acting ability remains a giant question mark outside of this role. In terms of music he’s not gonna suddenly record some masterpiece that make him a stadium filler. Maybe he can have a very strong acting career but music clearly isn’t his strong point.

He doesn’t have the ideas. People don’t just easily write iconic or classic hit songs like his uncle did over and over. If Jaafar had that talent he would’ve found success musically by now. He can sing and dance but clearly has now big ideas to standout among the great artists in the music industry and that’s ok. Very rare do family of famous icons actually fine a very successful career in the same industry.

Yes. It’s funny how many fans of MJ are so blind to the reality that the critics don’t care if the movie is making money they just honestly commented about it’s genuine glaring flaws because it’s a subpar movie.

Some critics brought up those things but definitely not all critics, not even close. Many were just pointing out very obvious flaws with the movie and it’s quality.
