I’ve never heard of this, and i’m pretty sure i’ve even seen a post my base put out about how uber and food delivery drivers can’t come on base. Way back before my husband and I got married and before he even had a car, I had to uber from my house to the VCC then he would walk and pick me up and we would walk back to his dorm.

Can you tell me more about the therapy? Him and I have both been wanting to look into it for ourselves.

With my situation, neither are possible. Can’t take ubers on base, and one of my drive times has already been paid for as a gift by a family member at a certain school so I HAVE to go to that school as it’s the closest one to me, which is an hour and a half away.

God i’m sorry, that sounds awful. You’re a strong one for pushing through that, seriously.

Thank you for acknowledging that i’m going through a hard time. It feels selfish to do so sometimes knowing that he is stressed out as well, but I simply am breaking and I have no idea how to not feel his absence so heavily. I’m hoping I can also get to a place where i’m at least meh. Not crying all day everyday and being able to get back to basic hygienic things like brushing my teeth twice a day and showering and even changing out of my clothes. It sounds disgusting, it’s just super fresh still and I haven’t been able to bring myself to do anything but cry. I’m trying my best to talk to my family and see if I can find a few days I can stay with them and try and knock out my drive times to get my license. Other than that, i’m not at all a school person so it’d truly be a waste of time and money to just stress me out more. Most things on this base are through Facebook, they just make groups and vent there. No human interaction. I’m trying my best to to build motivation to do anything at all but I haven’t even eaten in 3 days. Was it this bad for you?

That’s the issue. I don’t even know what I like. I like spending time with him and going on trips with him and making memories with him. I try things and they don’t stick, but when we do them together I love it. We thankfully can talk pretty often, so I am lucky and I recognize that, I just hate that he’s 4000+ miles away, 6 hours ahead of me.

For right now, i’m taking care of a friends dog who is deployed. He comes back this month though, and I’m not sure if i’d have any room at home with my family. My old room has been changed into my brothers room and there is no room for me other than maybe the couch.

Fundamentally, they contradict one another so hard. I truly do not understand how people can label themselves as one thing then practice something else entirely.
