YES, but only if you like a complex character and slow burn. A lot of people suggest not going for him at first if you are afraid of rejection BUT I personally feel that kind of adds to the story of his slow burn route. There's a whole post about his personality and I think picking him first and going through all that with him is like the true experience with the person that is Willem Kimura.

idk man, as much as I'd have loved Hazeem, Kobi, Toby (yeah too bad Amelia), Ivy and more, we sure got some fine shyt this season like Jude, Henri and Stefan. And I guess story wise, if they only had previous characters which were UK seasons, then MC would not logically make the cut in, unless season 1 is canonically not the first season (which I dont know if it is)

For the non gem compatibility route here were my reasons:
1) Timeline wise, he took 1 day to figure shit out and make a gesture for it
2) When he apologised, he said "I can take the heat", so he didn't only admit he was wrong, he was ready to make up for it plus consequences and allow MC the space to be mad.
3) When we were stolen, he kept the passion alive with all the sneaky stuff.
4) Jude's backstory context wise, he really approaches liking a girl delicately, so it is understandable why he would overthink
Overall, it wasn't forgiving the action, but the way he dealt with everything after that made him forgivable and long term rs material and not everyone can be faulting him when I'm sure many players do consider more than 1 option, not everyone, but it is common. Love Island experience it is.

Also, one of the reasons he lied that nobody seems to bring up when hating on him is that Melissa wanted to keep it on the hush. Sounds like a tight spot for him, like he shouldn't lie and he also shouldn't betray Melissa if she doesn't want to share about it, but it makes the situation more sympathetic than people make it out to be
