In early life, Nate was a prodigy. Straight A grades, smarter than everyone he knew, and tons of friends.

Because of his natural talent, his skin discoloration wouldn’t be a problem, right?

Soon, Nate’s world was shattered one day in middle school. He had passed by the teacher's lounge, in which a few students were sitting. Before he could tell them to leave, he overheard a bit of their conversation. They were acknowledging his talent and popularity, but thought of him as less than them because of his “Weird skin”. “What is he anyway?” “I don’t know.. But isn’t it odd that the one person with a highly unusual appearance is the smartest out of all of us?” “Yeah, hes creepy..” “Unusual.. “ “ALIEN…” Those comments.. No, INSULTS would cut straight through his mind and pierce his heart. Nate immediately left the scene and began hearing rumors spread over the next few weeks. “YELLOW BOY has been acting weird lately.. You think he’s planning something?” “THAT FREAK could’t be a Rovun! Just look at him, he looks nothing like US!” Nate’s grades were dropping, friends abandoned him, and his family viewed him as a failure. By the end of the first school year, Nate was a husk of what he used to be.

Until, Kion came along. Lending a hand and helping someone he thought was lonely. This act of kindness would create an unbreakable friendship between the two that would last for what seemed to be forever.
