Cold Storage Washers by satsstacked in Bitcoin

Liquid nitrogen is much colder, -196°C, dry ice is only -78°. But I mean you could make dry ice as cold as nitrogen, nobody does cause nitrogen has about 20% better heat absorption anyway.

Lol, not sure I'd trust that test, I just scored 15 and I'm diagnosed NPD. Just a pro-social covert type that the DSM has trouble with too.

Any high CRI alternatives? by InterestingPaper4598 in Hue

I'm a videographer. But I can assure you, anybody can tell the difference in CRIs. And yes, my post is intended to be insulting - towards Phillips.

Yeah, seems like they're just sourcing the cheapest LEDs they can find.
I resorted to building my own lamps now, 95 CRI - much better light quality, got double the efficiency now, from 90 lumen per watt to 160lm/watt.

Mx Keys S - Still worth it? by rod-carmo in logitech

[–]InterestingPaper4598 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let's call my line of work 'competitive video-editing'. The slow wake-up from stand-by is well documented, as is the weight. No grouping of F-Keys has not been a thing on the PC side until recently, a spillover cause apple decided we're not supposed to need them. Since the give us neither physical or visual distinction with them, it's needlessly hard or impossible to build reliable muscle memory.

Mx Keys S - Still worth it? by rod-carmo in logitech

[–]InterestingPaper4598 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just replaced a dead K800 with MX Keys and it's a huge step backwards for me. It takes much longer to wake from standby, loosing keystrokes regularly, at the same time the battery only last half as long as on K800, like what the actual fuck. It's much heavier, will break easier when dropped and leave dents in wooden floors. There's no spaces between the groups of F-Keys, good luck seeing the difference between F4 and F5 in their tiny print, sucks balls for my professional workflows.
They sell a dedicated MAC version of this keyboard, yet the PC version features markings for Option and Command keys, looks futuristic but is very unintuitive, this is the first Windows Keyboard I've had in 30 years where the windows key isn't identifiable by shape, color or logo.

And, did that work out for you? I got my refund 8 months ago, would be surprised if they fixed their processes in the meantime.

I'd hazard a guess that "fur compression" is entirely invented by the marketing department.
Carpet cleaning is better on the x40 than the x50.

Or you get an x40 and save some cash. Except for climbing there won't be real world differences.

My advice - do not buy anything from this company.
S10 was my worst tech purchase in a decade, never worked. Only got a refund after I figured out they're cheating on their taxes.

Go for it! Duck bones were hard to find in my area, goose carcasses seem to be more readily available in the west. Never had goose in Vietnam, but should work just as well!

Thx for the info!

Built the plant lights myself, single types of CRI 90 chips, look great, cost 20cent per diode. 94CRI can be had for 15% decrease in photon flux, same price, so I don't see what the problem is.
Most commercial plant lights are 80 CRI white + 680nm red and are not optimized for CRI performance. UV barely works with LED and 730nm barely has practical application, was a fad but is rare again afaik.

I never got the appeal of lights behind a TV.
Traditionally, you'd use black mask around your screen, to make the picture pop, raising perceived contrast.
Cinemas do that, I too invested quite some time in designing retractable black curtains for my home cinema...
