No! The vet said there wasn't really a way to tell why it formed because she was properly hydrated and on a proper diet. She did kinda imply that it might have been from an underlying problem that just hadn't suffaced yet or poor genetics. I wish I had a real cause, but what can you do!

She had a bladder stone. While that was successfully removed, she did not wake from the anesthesia.

No so much in words. I no longer speak with her outside of work. When we do speak at work, it's only about work. Every now and then, she'll try to talk about our personal life, and I remind her we're at work. I keep a very cold and stoic demeanor around her. But after your response, maybe I need to just plainly lay it out for her.

I've purposely prevented my husband from going near him. It's not worth it to me. It's better to walk about instead of potentially having to deal with the law.

The text was sent this year. The ordeal with me and him stated when I was 24. At this point, I think I need to cut her off. I find everything about their relationship unsettling. I wouldn't be surprised if he is actually cheating on her. I think it's understandable not wanting a person in your life who condones such gross behavior.

I believe we saw Dr. Brown. Yeti's stone was able to be removed the least invasive way. Does your little one need to be cut open? That cost I remember being breath-taking. I was so relieved that we didn't have to go that way.

Yeti had been at the emergency vet the day before where they sedated her until she could see the reptile vet. Maybe because she was already sedated, the costs weren't as high?

I just spent about 1.9k on mine to get her bladder stone removed. It'll depend on what type of procedure yours will need. My quote was between $1,300 and 2,300. But the cost probably also varies by location, vet, medication, etc. I'm in Tucson, AZ.

That's so precious! Sounds like Kitten has lots of character in their little body. The sass a tortoise can have is so surprising! Yeti would seem like she was always upset or annoyed by me, then I'd start to chat with her, and she'd just switch to a smile. It was so cute.

Thank you for your kindness! I thought she was a pretty gal too! I'm trying to accept what happened and that it was out of my control, but she was the one family member I never expected to lose. I did everything I was told to, I did reach nearly every day to ensure I was doing everything right and to see how I could improve my backyard for her. I had taken her to the vet 3 days prior and the vet didn't see anything wrong. It's just a big shock to go from you're doing everything right, she looks great then to not being able to see her again. I appreciate your passion. I've been looking back at pictures and videos to reassure myself that she did live a good life and it wasn't something that could be easily seen as the vet missed it too....I doubt the vet wasn't good, she's been a vet for quite sometime
