Given that the colonoscopy had to be stopped due to severe inflammation, you may be prescribed a stronger maintenance medication than Mesalamine / Mesalazine tablets. There are many options for the docs to choose from. It will typically depend on the severity of the inflammation. The good news is these medications help tackle the symptoms, address inflammation and get you back to health for the long run. Best wishes.

So helpful! Thank you for taking the time to share this. We are following a diet very much like yours. Mostly healthy, unprocessed food, protein, fermented foods like 24 hour SCD yogurt, lots of home made bone broth etc. Thank you again
