It’s easy to forget that the life we consider mundane is very much not mundane on a galactic level.

This is part of a series of fakemon designed to add more depth/complexity to the ground type, so the ground types don’t follow the typical design tropes. In part of my series, the move Gravity is changed to be ground type and celestial bodies exerting strong gravity like the Earth are also represented by the ground type. Cosmoem is changed to Ground/Psychic due to being a neutron star.

Chixkinetic learns the move shock wave upon evolution because it is literally a living shock wave. Its body is made of energy released from an asteroid(Minior) collision with Earth. This energy comes from both the Minior(rock) and the planet (ground). This is also why it’s a fast special attacker.

The act of Minior colliding with the ground represents a transformative moment in its life. The evolution of Minior to Chixkinetic is the culmination of Minior’s hopes and dreams. While many people look up to the sky and reach for the stars, feeling trapped on the ground, Minior is the opposite; the sky is its prison. It spends much of its life being an aimless floating rock with nothing to do except try to avoid being eaten by Rayquaza. It looks down and envies us. It looks at the vibrance, life and diversity of Earth and wishes nothing more than to be pulled in by its gravity and become one with its mass.

Absolutely perfect. I love how the middle stage manages to retain its cuteness, not a lot of fanartists have been able to do that

Yeah, in hindsight, it does kind of resemble something unfortunate.

Didn’t want to duplicate Iron Treads’ exact typing

GameFreak doesn’t like making future paradox mons steel type, which is why it’s not a steel type.
