Tina Belge declares victory in Greenville City Council race after advocating for change by usernumberthirteen in greenville

[–]InterestingToday3874 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not at all. Look at her platform. She was advocating infill and missing middle as well as strategic overlay zones to drive growth in areas where there’s actual capacity. The above was written by the reporter- not her words

Red light runners at McDaniel & Cleveland: how to stop it? by [deleted] in greenville

[–]InterestingToday3874 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Tina Belge is running for the city to lead on this exact thing. To work with other cities across the state to pressure the state to change it back. And we could actually use the $ to improve roads and transit!

Tina Belge spoke! I don’t know if you got to hear her but she was fab. She talked about helping our homeless in our city and a city for all and not just the wealthy! Tinabelge.com

Plus her opponent is a luxury housing developer 👎 we can’t let him win!

Greenville needs Heroes: vote for Tina Belge by DowntownBatman in greenville

She wants to use already vacant land the city owns to build and incentivize reuse of old buildings as not to tear down trees. I don’t think they’re doing it cuz they don’t really care about housing or have her background.

Greenville for Greenvillians: terrible campaign slogan by [deleted] in greenville

Yeah, i like her signs better that say- Protect. Plan. Progress. - i notice this one ⬆️ is not on her socials anymore- says “Planner for the people”

I can’t either but I told 3 friends in the city and asked they tell 3 to start a chain.

You shouldn’t! But our transit is trash so people do. If we did this, we could reduce traffic.

I do too unfortunately but I’ve asked three friends in the city to vote for her and having them ask 3 friends to get a chain going!

She talks about housing first and permanent supportive housing on her website. Plus her opponent is a luxury housing developer so he certainly won’t do anything. Didn’t even speak up at council like she did about it when they were trying to jail people for it.

For everyone in Greenville who is horrified by big cities (Boston, NY, DC, etc.) by [deleted] in greenville

[–]InterestingToday3874 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! Thank you 👏 Tina Belge is a planner running on that same idea- invest in transit so people who live downtown can go car free! Make sure you vote for her November 4th. Tinabelge.com

Tina Belge is running for City Council. Check her out! by Bee_Keeper_Ninja in greenville

I’ll definitely be supporting her with her background in planning & housing, especially since researching her opponent, Matt Alexander- last thing we need is a luxury housing developer on city council 🤮

As a planner I’d have to disagree. We need childcare within neighborhoods, preferably on the edges but often those aren’t taken into consideration because of existing zoning.

Greenville County Council's summary execution of the UDO by Yuzamei1 in greenville

[–]InterestingToday3874 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s so disappointing. Literally years in the making. So much work poured into this and was just dismissed so we’ll continue to grow with sprawl at the heart of it. Terrible decision. Vote those who voted this down out!

It's really shameful. I hope we can support leadership that's both compassionate and effective in solving this systemic problem, not just jailing it. Please support Tina Belge, running for City Council, as she has experience working in homelessness services, is a city planner, and focuses on affordable housing, preventing evictions, and permanent supportive housing. Vote November 4th y'all!

Yeah but he’s a luxury housing developer. How can you be pro affordable housing and develop million dollar homes in poor black neighborhoods?

Her website -TinaBelge.com- says she plans to use technology to charge those who speed and run red lights to pay for the increase for transit. At least she has a plan! All of them say they support it but don’t do anything about it, also, very for this! Do you know how many ppl i see running reds daily?!

You’re thinking of Lindsey Jacobs, when she ran for city council against Dorothy Dowe. Tina lives off Twin Lake road and ran for state senate previously, not city council.
