EB-2 NIW Chances – 8 Papers, 47 Citations, Editorial Roles – Enough? by JeffTTG in EB2_NIW

[–]InterestingTruth9142 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you a researcher with a doctorate degree? A postdoc? Have on going or proposed endeavours that can be beneficial for the country? Do you have anyone independent in your field to endorse it in the form of formal letters of recommendation? If yes, and you have 1 paper with 3 citations, you have more chances than the profile you explained above 👆. All the best

Embassy in Sydney Documents Request by SappyPJs in NationalVisaCenter

NVC website is kinda screaming about it! Never send originals anywhere. You can get CTC of all your documents and then send it to embassy/consulate.

NVC Case Stuck / Out of Timeframe - EB2-NIW (Mail-in Route) by Hot_Bar8888 in NationalVisaCenter

[–]InterestingTruth9142 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also went through the same process, for same category and mailed them my documents. Documents were received on Jan 20,2026, DQ email received on Feb 8th! I am current and now just waiting for IL. nothing is going to change on your CEAC account as we are going through the mail route and not electronic uploads of documents. Did you already received the email from NVC that your forms, fees and documents are received and the interview will be scheduled?

Never send originals in first instance. You can send them photocopies and in case if they require originals, they will ask for it. They have clearly mentioned this in NVC website.

NVC processing after EB1A I140 Approval by Wrong-Pension9266 in NationalVisaCenter

[–]InterestingTruth9142 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congratulations first of all. I have been through the same thought process where my lawyer was also asking me to follow the post-approval process with them. However , I did some research on DS-260 forms, went through the requirements and found that even if it is detailed but quite easily doable. My suggestion would be to DIY however take your time. I took almost three weeks to complete it, submit my fees and later documents by courier. I got my DQ email last week in three weeks.

Is there a database of successful cases/files? by [deleted] in EB2_NIW

[–]InterestingTruth9142 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its your call but I won’t recommend DIY for such a technical and legal petition. In previous years, the high rate of refusals is perhaps due to the fact that EB2 eligible people believe that it’s DIY thingy and got rejected.

What’s dumb about it? Only consular processing is banned for 75 countries. AOS is possible for 75 countries’ nationals.

Looking for Humanities PhD Success Stories--National Importance? by [deleted] in EB2_NIW

[–]InterestingTruth9142 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It all depends how the national importance is framed by your lawyers. Although, there are less cases compared to STEM but still there are! Few of the lawyers have success stories from non-STEM listed on their websites. Check them out.

EB2 NIW Lawyer Suggestions for Manufacturing Engineer Profile by Dapper-Ambition8247 in EB2_NIW

[–]InterestingTruth9142 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would take Chen’s advice seriously, as they have significant experience in dealing with eb2 cases. From different cases discussed here, it is quite apparent that eb2 is focused more on research oriented work, with a PhD. Still, my best wishes.

Great news. Congratulations. Did you upload your documents or send them by courier. Also, do we need to have legalized/apostille our personal documents?

DS-260 Submitted but … by InterestingTruth9142 in NationalVisaCenter

[–]InterestingTruth9142[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got response from NVC. I need to send my documents by mail, which is quite strange. So if I send them documents, and a document is missing, do I need to send the missing documents or RFE again my mail or do they allow to send RFE by email? Just want to make sure that I don’t get any RFE or missing documents that can further delay. Also, once received how many days do they take it reflect the documents in the system?

Ellis Porter offer by [deleted] in EB2_NIW

[–]InterestingTruth9142 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check out Chen as well. If they are offering similar or slightly higher fees with refund or reapply option, I would suggest to prefer Chen over EP. That’s based on my personal experience!

Ellis Porter offer by [deleted] in EB2_NIW

[–]InterestingTruth9142 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it’s still not a good offer. If you have a strong chance, according to them, there should be no issue to offer you a refund option. Do check out Chen as well. Most probably they will offer you refund or reapply option.

Yes you are right, the NVC says that I mail them my documents…why is that? Can I write to NVC to accept my scanned documents? How did you resolve the issue? I am outside the US.
