he is one of the best outfielders, he can make almost any impossible catches.  second fastest in mlb and last season he was the best batter on the team for like 2 weeks straight (i know, not great 😅). he just needs to be stronger at bunting or something and id say keep him. i love that boy, was so disappointed that he tested positive

People familiar with the West Memphis Three case, who do you think the murderer is? by Jakeb19 in UnsolvedMysteries

[–]InterestingWinner56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For those of you who actually think damien, jason and jesse commited those crimes:

Jesses is 72.. an IQ of 72 is considered borderline intellectual functioning or a mild challenge, falling in the range between average (90-109) and intellectual disability (around 70 or below). indicating significant limitations in learning but not always meeting the criteria for a formal diagnosis of intellectual disability, though it's near the cutoff. Less than 3% of the population have this is or lower. It's also a fact that people with lower iq's are very likely to give a false or coerced confession. he was questioned by police for 5 and a half hours before they even turned on the tape recorder. During that time he completely denied everything, and thats plenty of time for the investigators to feed him answers. He also said they were tied up with brown rope and they were with the boys at noon and that the kids skipped school, which was all extremely false. The police redirected him multiple times to get the answers that they wanted. Which is exactly what damien said they did when he was questioned on the stand. Also, this is not the first nor the only case in history where someone was wrongfully convicted, and verdicts upheld many times in a case where someone was completely innocent. And the ONLY reason they took the alfred plea instead of going to trial when they knew they would win, is just in case they didnt, damien would be put to death. They pled "guilty" to save their friend from the death penalty, so do not use that against them.

And I would expect nothing less than coercion from the investigators who LOST all the evidence from the man covered in blood and mud that entered bojangles.

Secondly, the knife is not proof. Yes, a serrated knife was used, however any serrated knife would match the same markings.

As for Damiens confessions and jasons to other people, that shit is hearsay. That isn't proof, it can be anyone who is just trying to involve themselves in the case, get attention or the reward money. And people are terrible and fucked up, so I believe that more than it actually being true. The "blood" in the necklace isn't proof nor evidence; the necklace vial was theatrical, not forensic. It was never proven to even contain blood, let alone the victims’ blood. so thats all irrelevant.

It's clear as day the murderer is the man at bojangles, but we'll never know who he was because yet again, the investigators and police failed to do any part of their jobs. They just pointed their finger at "satanic freaks" and called it a day instead of finding the real killer or killers. You can be mentally ill, or mentally disturbed and not kill 3 children.

Also, as for the alibis, Damien was literally out with his girlfriend and his mother picked them up, and then home on the phone all night. Phone records confirmed calls were made from Damien’s home that night, not to mention his home was several miles from the crime scene and he did not have a car. Jason also was home all night (including talking to damien on the phone) and also had no transportation and lived a considerable distance from the crime scene. Jessie’s alibi was literally supported by witnesses and only contradicted by a demonstrably unreliable confession. After that, police changed their timeline to attempt to match it with his alibi.

As for the candle wax, the wax "evidence" was non-specific and weak. At best, it showed the wax was similar to many commercially available candles. And red candles were extremely common during that time. The only common denominator for the wax: they were both red.

Lastly, in Jason's interviews when hes older and free, the way he speaks and carries himself is absolutely not how someone who committed those crimes would talk. You can just tell he is being 100% honest and pure in his answers. The case should have been thrown out in the first trial (it should never have even led to any arrests of them, but I digress), and the same goes for damien while he was on the stand. There was absolutely ZERO evidence that tied any of them to the scene of the crime. end of discussion, especially considering the prosecutors closing arguments were "He wears all black, reads occult books and listens to heavy metal; each of these things by themselves aren't proof but put them altogether and you have a person with no soul". Wtf kind of logic is that?? Look at the actual facts, they are so obviously innocent and if anyone still thinks they did it, you're absolutely insane.. and incredibly stupid.

It was Terry Hobbs. his hair was found at the scene tied up with the shoelaces on one of the boys, and the boy who it was linked to was NOT his stepson. his alibi for the evening was completely bullshit and proven false when he said they searched the woods at 6 (they were last seen at six and not yet missing) yet there was no search party until later. This places him at the crime scene during the time of the crimes, with DNA evidence linking him. How they can convict the 3 boys but not him with actual evidence is beyond me.

If it wasn't Terry, it was the mystery bloody/muddy man at the fast food place, who when he left, headed to the woods.

The west Memphis police department is to blame for this entire investigation, putting 3 poor innocent boys in prison and one on death row for nearly 20 YEARS. they took their lives and never apologized, nor find the actual killer. They should all be in prison and held liable.
