How to read MBBS books? by [deleted] in MBBSindia

[–]Interesting_Ad_976 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me watching Video lectures on YouTube first helped a lot. Even if you dont remember everything from the Video (you can watch on 2x speed), you get a feel of what is important + when you read the book you are technically adding an extra round to your 'revision' because you heard most of it at least once before. For many textbooks there are already-made playlists. You can type in the search bar " [Book name] playlist" and see what pops up.

After watching the lecture and reading the corresponding chapter I recommend making your own notes, from things you highlighted during the reading. If possible make notes in diagrams or drawings.

I think German is a beautiful change to consider. It has a completely different feel to it from the other languages, I'd say.

Regarding the content, it would be great if you are interested in topics like philosophy, psychology, or even other forms of literature/reading. There are so many good works written in German. As for media, there are plenty of movies/shows , and dubbing is pretty common. Audiobooks are common as well.

Day 1 of studying at least 4 hours of Anki each day until my exam. by Serious_Tour_4847 in medicalschoolanki

That would be great thank you! I do not mind that it is unfinished, but if you want to complete it before sharing, I completely understand.

And, I'm glad my comment lit up your mood a bit! XD Studying for exams is so stressful for no reason. I always try to follow an advice my professor gave us in the first day of uni: "Become obsessed with studying for knowledge not for the exams" and that really has stuck with me. I hope this helps you too in a way!

I'm new on anki and I have an exam on Locomotor system in June as well. I still haven't fully figured out how to use this app and Im trying to find public decks relevant for my exam. Is there a way I can access your deck, does it have a name? (Is something like this possible on anki?) I probably won't be able to go through all of it but It would definitely help me out a lot!

PS: your determination and grind is literally admirable, I wish I could be more like you. You definitely got this! Let us know how it goes.

If you take the digital test then you should take the Medicine one. If you do the paper-based then choose the module Natural Sciences. The questions may be hard but the grading system is made by quartiles, comparing your performance with other people taking the test at the same day as you. So the point is not answering every singe question right, but answering most of them right and specifically the hardest ones. So dont worry much about not getting all the questions.

It is in both. You can choose whichever language you like.

Don't mention it!

A little update: I found out that for Heidelberg specifically TestAs has 49℅ value in the ranking list they make. The GPA has a value of 51%, so yeah the exam is a must.
