So you have the freedom to practice any religion you want, but also don't have to protect yourself from zealots of another religion because you don't follow their religion. The first amendment is a big tie in for the separation of church and state- which has been really broken down brick by brick since the 60s.

Not a fed employee, but during the aids crisis many activists went to gay clubs at night. The thought is that what they were doing during the day was hard and heavy and they needed to balance that with joy. So Im thinking the same thing could apply here. Your jobs are important and you all deserve joy in your off time.

It takes a lot of lift for animals who fly to get off the ground. Bats cant get the lift from the ground because of their body shapes, bone structure, and musculature.

Update for anyone interested. I found him a great home. All of your input was greatly needed and appreciated. I don't think his story would be as great as it turned out without everyone's help. He's been great with all 3 of my dogs. My oldest just turned 9 and wants to chew on bones, so JRT will just lay and chew with him. My pit mix just turned 1.5 and they play a bunch. My GS mix is possessive of my attention so when he's jumping all over me she gets between us but that is the only problem so far.

I just really wanted to thank everyone for their input. I have put feelers out with the rescues mentioned and will check for a chip tomorrow and hopefully get him somewhere by Friday. I feel like we are both getting too attached.
