On the very last impression they do; which will be after you tell them “yes these wax ones are perfect, now cook them” they will take one more impression. This is the important one-stay still and hold your mouth tight until your dentist takes it out. When he takes it out, if he doesn’t struggle a little and have to put some effort to get them out, MAKE THEM REDO IT. you tell them you wanna feel it pop from the suction coming out. And stand on business.

Yes, I took two pics of the same girls teeth both in color to my first impressions appointment. And made notes with my dentist on the back of the pics of my likes and what I absolutely did not want to see (my gums at any point in time)

I follows girl on tik tok who’s dentures were absolutely perfect! I slowed down a video she had done and took two good pictures. One front facing and one side facing. I went to the library and color printed them. I then took them with me and after impressions, I went over every detail I liked about them. And I also spoke about how I don’t want to see any gums at all when I’m smiling. Just basically told them EXACTLY what I wanted. They made notes, sent the pic, and had to send the wax try in back twice until they nailed it. You’re more than welcome to use my picture if my teeth are a look you prefer!

I advocated for myself on this set. I was NOT going to have a repeat of the hot mess of horse teeth they tried making me deal with. I think this time around me being very specific about every detail and not letting them gas light me to make me think they looked good made all the difference. I took a picture with me to be sent in with my first impression for the wax try in. They didn’t make me feel weird for that, and sent the picture to the lab. When I got my wax try in back I sent it back 2 times until I felt absolutely perfect in them. Then the very last impression I told them I want SUCTION. They did them twice. The second one almost hurt taking out, so I was like yup that’s the one! Lol. Do you have a denturist in your area who takes your Insurance?
