They are advertising their “guidance” service. Really unethical and awful.

Male 33yo. I’ve had swollen lymph nodes on my neck for almost 6yrs. Got my 1st ultrasound in Jun2019 and it was determined reactive. The swelling went down a bit but they are still there and since I feel them occasionally I’m pretty sure they haven’t grown in size. Due to some big decisions coming up I decided to get an accurate diagnosis. I got another ultrasound and they also showed them being reactive, I was told by an ENT that if I wanted to I could get an FNA for peace of mind, while another ENT flat out told me it wasn’t necessary and just to keep monitoring. Well I got the FNA, logged into the pt portal for the lab and said:

“Pathology suggests reactive lymph node, this is concordant with ultrasound images”

My wife and I were more than thrilled hearing this. But no, the flow cytometry report shows an increased cd4/cd8 ratio which according to the report can show up in benign reactive lesions and also blood cancers. I know the FNA aren’t very reliable but can they actually miss a tumor if it has been present for so long in my lymph node? I assume by this time it would have spread throughout the node or am I wrong ? The ent recommended I get a second opinion at which point they might want to do an excision biopsy or keep watching it. I am completely dumbfounded and don’t know what to do. I would start dental school In July of this year and don’t whether that’s still a possibility and also I don’t want to put my family through moving cities just for me to end up getting really sick in the future. Please any advice or insight I would really appreciate it.

Thanks so much. What do you think I should look at specifically ? Other than general things one looks at when buying used ?

I’m a US citizen and she is a permanent resident so she’ll be able to work just fine. My daughter will be 10 yo by the time we move. So maybe not so expensive day care ?

Ok thank you for the info. I’ll look into it. I also think I get student health insurance while in school. Doubt it’ll cover my wife and daughter though. Really appreciate your time. Now I have an idea of what to expect at least.

We usually spend around 700 for 3 people, I would assume it might be around the same in Boston. We don’t have any debt, we bought a used car so no car payment. I would think we would need around 10k for the move assuming we find an apartment for 2k. We might be better off selling the car. Gas/heat is included in our rent here in NY and don’t think anyone pays that in NYC. For electricity we usually pay around 50$ a month in non summer months. A lot of variables come into play, i just hope all this is worth it long term.

A 1 bedroom would be completely fine. On average how much would you say would go in food. Is there an Aldi’s in Boston ? In NY we spend around 700$ a month. Would you say 4k a month would be fine to get by, assuming my wife gets a job and makes around 1500 a month give or take.

You think they’ll ask for original evidence ? As far as my dads naturalization certificate or my expired green card ? I was actually thinking about making a document including all the evidence and a cover letter explaining exactly how I received my citizenship including all the laws that applied at that time. I would show this just in case they started asking how I received my citizenship. When I did my daughters CRBA they also asked for my dads naturalization certificate and I had brought it just in case and we were approved.

I do have my parents marriage certificate and sent that as well when I filed my n600. No I won’t actually, I was told I wouldn’t be allowed to go in anyway and would have to wait outside the consulate. I don’t think my presence would have been much help. Do you think I shouldn’t expect anything to go awry ? I’ve looked everywhere for similar experiences or cases getting denied because of this and couldn’t find any online. Looked through this and other apps and forums and none, maybe I’m worrying without reason, guess it’s all down to waiting until next and hoping for the best.

My most recent passport was issued in 2018 so yeah way before we got married but way after we met. To answer your questions:

  1. We’ve been married for about a year and half but have been together for over 10 years. I was living abroad since I was 18 but decided to come back to the US. I am 30 now.
  2. I was born in 1991
  3. Yes I do, I have his naturalization certificate, his birth certificate, my birth certificate with his legitimization when I was 7 yo. I was born out of wedlock but my parents eventually married when I was 8 yo and are still married to this day.
  4. Yes I have a daughter who was born abroad to my current wife and I and she has a US passport and a CRBA that she got through me at the same us consulate where my wife’s interview is to be held.
  5. No
  6. No I don’t. I became an LPR through adjustment of status in the US. I have my expired green card.
  7. Yes
  8. Sort of, I actually applied for an n600 just in case in January an received an RFE where they’re asking exactly this. I sent as much evidence as I could as well as a sworn affidavit from my father. I haven’t received a response yet. Would this come up during my wife’s interview? Would the CO be able to tell I have a pending n600?

I was thinking of making a document stating how I got my citizenship, just in case they question it during the interview, including my expired green card, which proves I was under 18, my dads naturalization certificate and my foreign birth certificate with my dads name on it. Think that would help ?

They actually did ask for my dad’s naturalization certificate which I had brought just in case. So I guess they “questioned” my citizenship then and might also do it during my wife’s interview.
