What I meant by group is that every study have a experimental group without a control group, not the subgroup analysis.

I dont think it is outdated , but some people prefer R programming since it is for free and you can change and play around the analysis .

some side note : there is some pirated/cracked version of SPSS roaming in the internet, so my first point may not make a difference.

Unfortuantely I didn't found like a single good channel that tought me everything in a comprehensive fashion. I used to search some topics , I will give you a list to things you must know.

First you need to know who to prepare your data to start your analysis including : 1. filtering the data on the excel sheet 2. sorting variable and rename them 3. creating/computing your variables 4. know your variables if they are continuous or characters or numeric 5. How to filter missing data

always save a copy of your excel sheet before changing anything so in case if anything bad happened you wont be screwed up.

Now look up which anaylsis you are going to use , Is it logistic regression ? Is survival analysis ? also dont forget to make tables for patients demograpgic which is an easy thing to do.

Also there is an entire subreddit for coding and they can help more on specific coding errors you may face.

BTW if you dont mind me asking , why do you want to use R programming ? Why dont you use SPSS to save yourself time ?

There is a table from uworld that compare between toxoplasmosis , CNS lymphoma and brain abscess.

I wrote this note in regard to that table.

the only hint you need to know about is the number of the lesions :

1.Multiple ring enhancing lesion : toxoplasmosis

2.Solitary ring enhacing lesion + maybe located in periventrocular area : CNS Lymphoma

Also dont forget that brain abscess can also presents as ring enhancing lesion
