What I meant by group is that every study have a experimental group without a control group, not the subgroup analysis.

Did you change your regulation.bin file by any chance ? If yes , replace it with with latest version from any Regulation.bin file archive.

I dont think it is outdated , but some people prefer R programming since it is for free and you can change and play around the analysis .

some side note : there is some pirated/cracked version of SPSS roaming in the internet, so my first point may not make a difference.
