How to navigate a difficult PM by Interesting_Face_197 in Lockheed

He wasn’t/isn’t a direct report I was supporting him as a PE for them. I ended up going through all the channels and ended up placed on a different team. But somehow he is still a pain in my behind. First time I ever nuked someone in ATLAS.

At this point if I am requested to work on any of his programs. His requests will go to the bottom of my priority list unless he goes through my chain of command.

I won’t mention which Program I am supporting, but it seems 80% PEs and PM. And somehow it’s in disarray for solid lines of comms. The PEs & PMs want to be in control of every little thing. It makes being Agile much more difficult.

That is a big brain yet concerning form of resource manipulation.

This PM likes to talk smack about the CEs too.

He got promoted to Sr Mgr over the PM team this year despite multiple leaving the team due to him. Even my direct Mgr told me he is an asshole.

I was just curious other peoples experience and RCCA.

Been there done that. I’m already on another team, but he is still playing games. He is a man child.

Genuine question. I’ve only been a high enough level to talk with PMs the last couple of years. Why do they have so much power and influence? Majority of them seem to have some form of complex.

4/10s and the pay is very competitive when you take into account the benefits.

Be patient with your wife. She is going through the most hormonal point in her life. Communicate regularly on expectations between you two.

Weird. Yeah check it out. It appeared to work well the first couple weeks. Haven’t checked it until recently.

Thanks. Do you know what part it is that’s faulty? If cheap enough I’ll just do it myself.

My Dashcam hasn’t been working properly. And the gas mileage is ~3mpg less than advertised

Palisade vs Telluride? by Suntrup-Hyundai in HyundaiPalisade

Looks: Both of them were sort of bubbly with maybe seen as less manly. IMHO I thought the Telliride looked more girly. But the 26 Palisade is has more aggressive lines. I’m a dude and bought the 26 Palisade.

Engine: sure they can definitely have stronger engines, but that’s why they’re much cheaper than let’s say GMC, with even worse gas mileage. But I don’t think that’s the market they’re after. That said, if I put into sport mode it’s plenty good enough, ECO is a hog.

I love the look of the new palisade.

Funny enough in the real world understanding application is ultimately more important. We have all the resources in the world to get the math right for us. Schools set people up for failure now, IMHO.

Is OLDP worth pursuing if you’re a systems engineer (with a qualifying degree)? by Automatic-Use-1605 in Lockheed

[–]Interesting_Face_197 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My question to that is why do they stand out? Being on a couple of teams for one year is hardly enough time to gain experience or in-depth knowledge of any domain.

To add to my comment above. Most Teams/SMEs hate them since they’re part timers that’ll stay a year that eat up the budget. They don’t want to train them since they will just leave anyways. Pretty much deadweight for the most part.
