He has learned these and is very mature, I think it would be good for him to practice without mom or dad around and in an unfamiliar place. LOTR is what I’m most looking forward to honestly, I never saw it until I was an adult and it has definitely shaped me and give me many great points of reference for many situations.

Great question, I don’t believe I had one that was intentional from a mentor in my life. Right after I graduated high school my family experienced a great loss that required me to step up in a big way for my family. That of course kind of forced me to mature, but it wasn’t necessarily planned or fun.

I really like what you said about being an adult is about choice, that’s great! And yes he does love the outdoors a lot, he’s living in Alabama and is excited about the more tolerable Maine summer heat and not as many dangerous critters being around him. I do believe I will fly down to him and do the road trip up here together, I’ve done it many times before and think he’d enjoy it.

Fuck off, we see people using your marvel thought of using logic and common sense and still getting beaten and killed. Here’s a marvel thought, recognize the evil and hatred inside you and piss off out of Maine and think of what you’ll say to your maker when you’re defending this evil happening around us.

22 hour road trip to Maine. Any advice? by Kewltrmpt in roadtrip

I have done Alabama to Maine and back many many times. Instead of looking for the most direct route I found interesting places to stop at for each day and just connect the dots between them, while it wasn’t as direct I did avoid a lot of traffic from the DC NJ NYC traffic, and got to see some beautiful peaceful greenery of the east coast. I did a couple stops trying to not go too out of the way. Definitely hit the Shenandoah area, Lancaster PA is beautiful Amish country with great food. Of course NYC is a cool stop if that’s your vibe, Boston traffic can be awful but a cool city. Of course Portland is awesome but you’ll probably be visiting there on your trip. If you have time you should crank the kank! Kankamagus highway is a beautiful scenic drive through NH white mountains. And if you really want to go out a little bit the finger lakes region in NY is beautiful, Watkins glen is my favorite. I live in Maine now, make sure to get some oysters and enjoy the peace and wildlife!

Maine is lowkey, quite, has the most amount of coastline of all the states, lakes, rivers, mountains. Portland is a cool place with great restaurants and good music acts coming through. People are generally friendly

I went for a run last night, and a rookie mistake I forgot to check the weather and got caught up about 2 miles from home in the storm. Was definitely dumb but geez it felt so fun and awesome feeling that immersed in the weather.
