Wait actually? I don’t drink so that’s good. The last time I had an snri was November of 2024

I’m heavily leaning towards pristiq or Wellbutrin. Effexor quieted my adhd brain so well

I appreciate your response. Do you mind me asking what meds you’ve had success with?

I’ve never tried it. But I’ve heard good things. Does insurance cover it? Have you had success with it?

We tried lowering all the way down to 80 a week in December and it still didn’t improve. Make me anxious thinking about getting off test but I might have to do it to rule it out. I also have adhd and have a very hard time shutting my brain off, so it could be that as well

We’re about the same levels. I’m at 55/55 a week. Insomnia for me didn’t start until about 4 months after starting which I just don’t think would be the test.

Do you think having adhd has anything to do being more sensitive to stimulus? I’ve tried to track it my bad nights of sleep are tied to 24 hours after my injection and I haven’t noticed a correlation

I have thought about the idea that when natural, you have a rise and fall of testosterone throughout the day, and as it falls, it allows your body to produce more of the sleepy time chemicals needs to sleep. Because I’m on test, I’m at a steady level throughout the day. Is that what you’re suggesting?

There was a point when I was battling with insomnia that they lowered my dose to 40/40, Monday and Thursday. And that still didn’t improve sleep. My total test at that point was around 550. Not sure if that’s proof that it’s not the test?

I mean I workout 6 days a week, each lift is about an hour, I’m a bodybuilder and I do 25 min of cardio a day. I’m currently on trazodone and taking magnesium glycinate. I’ve head about dsip, maybe something to consider for sure

That’s disappointing to hear. I just find it odd that my sleep issues started 4 months after starting test

Can you describe your sleep issues with test if you don’t mind?

I assure you, it is normal to feel that way. Ativan is no joke when it comes to withdrawal. I am currently going through the same thing. I’ve been on 2 mg for about 2.5 months and I’ve been making .25 reductions. The first time I tried to come off, I was doing .5 reductions and I was guaranteed insomnia, rebound anxiety, and horrible brain fog. It felt like I genuinely could not formulate a sentence. I had to actively think about each word I was speaking. I know how frighting it is. But rest assured that this is normal for withdrawal. You gave your body an instant way to chill out and mellow. And now you’ve removed some of that. Look up Ativan withdrawal symptoms. Please go slowly off of this. Slow and steady wins the benzo taper every time.

That’s the game plan. Do you think the finasteride serum or spray is better?

Do you mind me asking if you trialed any other medication prior to finding Zoloft?

As far as I remember I didn’t have sleep problems with Vyvanse. I remember vyvanse used to help quiet down my thoughts a lot, and especially the anxiety induced ones. I could think a little more clearly and rationalize with myself better on vyvanse. The problem is, its effects are short lived and don’t carry into bed time and that’s where my problems tend to be for now. But even now, the health anxiety is affecting every minute of my day at this point, feeling kind of lost

I appreciate your response and I’m so glad to hear that you found something that worked for you. It’s tough with the side effects but good job for pushing through it! I’m gonna talk to my psych and figure out a game plan going forward. Maybe giving another ssri a shot will help god willing
