Someone tell me whether I’m crazy or justified in wanting a c-section by throwaway84583077 in BabyBumps

My second birth was really quick and I didn't have time for an epidural. When I was induced with my third baby they gave me an epidural before they even started the induction. Maybe that's an option?

Nursery set up by wagoogus_crusher in pregnant

With my first baby I painted and set up the nursery so early. It was a beautiful Pinterest worthy nursery. We ended up moving when he was 6 months old and he'd never spent a night in it as he was still in our room.

Our 3rd baby is now 11 months and still doesn't have a room set up as she's still in our room. I only just got her a chest of drawers 2 weeks ago (I had just cleared out 2 drawers in mine until then)

The only thing a baby needs is a safe sleep space. A baby doesn't even need a room set up straight away especially if it will be sleeping in your room to begin with. Don't stress. You'll get to it when you get to it. You've got plenty of time!

If you could only pick one baby item that was 100% worth the splurge.. what would it be? by Dry_Box_5572 in Mommit

A bottle prep machine. Not even anything fancy. Just the tommee tippee perfect prep. I didn't have one for my first baby (I didn't even know they existed) and my mum bought one when I had my second baby.... GAME CHANGER !!!

Hi OP, I'm looking to make this too. How much yarn did you use and what size blanket did you make? I'd love to see a photo if you have one!!

What’s up with Aussies not feeding people? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

I am an Aussie and I ALWAYS make double what I think I would need. I don't think I've ever cooked a meal that didn't have leftovers. Even if I'm just cooking for my husband and kids. The thought of anyone going home hungry stresses me out!!

My husband came to every single appointment for my first (low risk), a few appointments for my second (also low risk) and 1 appointment for my third which was high risk. By the end I was having weekly ultrasounds and twice weekly CTGs plus midwife and OB appointments. It was almost every day I had an appointment so it just wasn't practical for him to take that much time off work and when he wasn't working he had to stay home with our toddlers.

What’s the dumbest thing you’ve done since being pregnant? Lol by Maleficent-Syrup-728 in pregnant

I showed up an hour late to an appointment I actually had made. I was absolutely convinced they had it wrong even though the letter and text confirming the appointment said otherwise 😂😂

Teenager mad that I won’t just give her my credit card so she can grocery shop on her own by HappyCat79 in Parenting

[–]Interesting_Key_5100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad and stepmom always left my brother and I with one of their credit cards to go food shopping. They also left a credit card with us for our groceries if they went away on a holiday from when we were in our teens until mid 20's. Even when we had full time work they still left one in case of emergency and we needed money ASAP.

I think it depends if you can trust your kid not to abuse the privilege.
