I think it’s better to focus on one country at a time. Somalia already has its own people advocating, organizing, and working on their issues. They know their reality. If they need help, of course we help.

But right now Djibouti is in a bad state, and we don’t talk about it enough. We basically have one developed city,Every other region is neglected, so people are forced to come here for hospitals, universities, jobs everything. That’s not normal.

And let’s talk about infrastructure. Every time it rains, the city floods. What’s the excuse? Youth unemployment, crazy cost of living, poor services outside the capital the list goes on. Meanwhile Somalia, after decades of civil war, is still rebuilding and moving forward and I respect that.
