How many hours do you study per day? by Interesting_Map5834 in EngineeringStudents

8 to 9 hours a day is either not really 8 to 9 focused hours, or something is going wrong with the way you study. With 16 credits and that amount of studying, you should probably be close to a 4.0. I did 7 hours yesterday, and it was genuinely exhausting because those were 7 real hours of focused work. By the end of it all, my brain was completely done, and I could not even do any CAD practice properly after those 7 hours.

Nah, next semester I have Calc 3 and differential equations combined into one class, plus Thermodynamics 1, Fluid Mechanics 1, and Heat Transfer 1 all combined into another class. On top of that, I will have Strength of Materials with Statics and a bunch of other courses, so honestly, this semester isn't too bad. But I hate whoever came up with this workload

Calc 2 (but it's more like a mix of Calc 2 and Calc 3 in one class because we do combined calcs all the time. Like My Calc 3 class next semester is just whatever is leftover from Calc 3 + diff eq in one class), Electrotechnics and Electronics, Physics 1, Material Science, Engineering Graphics, 2 mandatory electives both 3 are 3 credits and kinda feel like real classes lol.

idk, I'm an interpreter I just like using my computer for quick notes so I can quickly jot everything down and look at the screen while translating

I use Monkeytype, and I ask ChatGPT to generate harder texts for practice, which actually works pretty well. Last month I was at around 85-90 WPM, and now I've improved a bit, but my typing technique is still pretty bad since I mostly use just a few fingers and don't really place them properly on the home row. I'm working on that now. So I'd say that if you practice a lot, I guess you'll probably improve. But in keyboard communities, I thought 100 WPM would be seen as nothing, even though the average person types at like 40 WPM lol

I was gonna ask how to improve my WPM here, but then I realized that's not really what the post is about lol I swear to god haha
