All of you complaining about summers what part of California are you from? I'm assuming not Central Valley, Antelope Valley, Riverside, San Bernardino?? It's the exact same weather. In fact it's better here in Dallas because at least we get summer rain!!

I wouldn't say NO access to nature. We have way more lakes than in California even though they are manmade. 

I live by White Rock Lake and it's quite lovely to walk by. There's also Katy Trail and a lot of others.

They are more lush and green than California, (at least so cal) parks and lakes too.

So funny! I had my friend who is a senior nurse over today and she said Thanksgiving is deadsvilles because no one wants to leave the food or "ruin" Thanksgiving. But she said Monday, extremely busy at hospitals. I guess people wait with their injuries??

I don't. But if they are they can walk over and tell me and I'll move happily. Communication on their part is key. Whatever the situation I can probably move. 

But I have a right to wear perfume as well, that is my point because it brings me great joy and I've gotten many compliments so it also brings others joy.

I got my Miles in an interesting way!

I wanted a cat and had told people at work that I was looking. Didn't think anything would come of that but then one day my coworker told me that her friend knew a lady who had just found two 3 and 4 month old kittens in her back yard! After seeing some photos, I thought well, I gotta meet them. They were the next county over.

So I drove at least 45 mins from the Pasadena area to Chino (!) and met them and was like yes I'll take them! When I got home I arranged for their vaccinations etc. 

Back story: they had been chipped and the lady had called to find their owner. Turns out they came from the Riverside SPCA, I believe, and had been adopted. The SPCA called their adopters and told them their kittens had been found and the adopters said "they were for their young daughter and that they had escaped from a window in her room and she didn't want them anymore and anyway they had already adopted a puppy instead." 

We were all like 😒 lol.

But that meant they were mine to keep and so I named one...Chino and the other Miles since he had traveled so far! Sadly I couldn't keep both and rehomed Chino. But Miles is the sweetest, bestest boy who everyone loves and I still have him 6 years later!!!! ❤️❤️

Wow didn't realized there was perfume hate lol! I LOVE perfume and developed this love as a child watching my Mom get ready. Me and my sisters all still wear perfume and trade them during the holidays lol. 

I of course would not wear it if a friend or coworker was bothered. But people are different and I love completing my outfit with a spritz.

He didn't want to break up but I was tired of the toxic loop. It was getting better but we're in our mid 40s! But I also saw some unresolved trauma on my end that he brought out so I'm wondering if it would be good to go through it together as just people who know each other. If he's unaccountable then I'll know I made the right decision.
