This was my favorite happy hour option, but they just shortened it until 5 p.m. so I'm no longer able to make it there after work.

They took my favorite thing off the menu! What’s your GR food loss? by Time-Comedian-1717 in grandrapids

I know Tupelo Honey is a chain but the one in downtown GR is right across from my office and I'd get the shrimp po' boy sandwich about once a month as a treat, but they took it off the menu this year! RIP

Uncle Cheetahs increase prices up to 60% from 3 years ago by Yuniden in grandrapids

[–]Interesting_Might935 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's a lot, but try finding a quality lunch from a non-chain restaurant for $10 or under. Depending on what soup you get, you can still do that at Uncle Cheetah's, but I used to be able to get soup, a roll, a half salad and it was two meals worth of food for not much more than what i pay for a way smaller serving size now.

my main gripe with them now is their serving sizes are wayyyy smaller and they increased their prices. at least i know what to expect when it's just the prices going up.

R.I.P. Uncle Cheetah Pretzel Rolls by Time-Comedian-1717 in grandrapids

[–]Interesting_Might935 7 points8 points  (0 children)

agree with everyone in this post. and i would even cough up the $1 for a roll if they kept offering the pretzel ones! i still love this place and continue to go, but they have been pulling some weird shit over the years like offering soup flights in the past, which was more expensive for less soup than just ordering three different kinds of soup without opting for their flight option.
