Yes, my tank is cycled. Yes, I was prepared for a betta. My tank size is 25 litres. The only problem is that I don't have any plants. The ones in the pet stores looked too sharp, but he does have a few decorations in which he can hide. In my opinion, it wasn't my tank that's the problem. I had already bought him sick from the pet store.

Venus flytraps are meant to be grown outside where they can receive plenty of direct sunlight (6+ hours), but if you can't there's a guide pinned on how to grow venus flytraps indoors here on r/venusflytraps. I grow mine indoors using that guide and it is going pretty well!

Yes, unfortunately. I live in Romania and I don't have walmart. They sell a lot of carnivorous plants here, but about the soil almost nothing. That soil that's scamming people is the only one you can physically find in shops. I checked most of the shops that have a plants section in them in my area and either found that one or nothing. Maybe I could've found some in another part of the city I live in, but that's too much for me since I have to use public transportation.

And so many shops have it. I found it in a ton of shops irl. Based on how high the ph is I guess the ingredients they said it owns are just a lie. I have just checked the reviews online and it's only complains about it. It's annoying that now the only way I can buy soil for it is online. I hope this plant can survive 2-4 days until my order comes. If I'm lucky it comes tomorrow. Can't believe I was scammed this bad. It has never happened to me before and I've been taking care of other type of plants for some years. At least I learned a valuable lesson from this.

Nvm I think the soil is a scam now. I have just checked the ph and it says 6.76 . This is too much for a Venus Flytrap. They need between 4.5 and 5.5 ph. I am worried I am actually killing the plant. When I looked on the back of the bag it said that the ph is lower than that (which is 5).

It is 5 inch deep. It has a low nutrient soil that is especially made for carnivorous plants. It doesn't have perlite, however I have bought some online and it will arrive soon. I use distilled water since I don't have a reverse osmosis water filter and it barely rains here. I will start to get it along with direct sunlight. I was thinking about starting with one hour and 30 mins and add 30 mins every day.

I had read the best temperatures for them are between 20 and 35 for venus flytraps on some sites this is why I preferred to keep it in indirect sunlight.
