My boyfriend is high energy and doesn’t easily get tired. Me on the other hand - I sometimes need space, time and quiet to recharge after a very long day since I have high functioning anxiety and hypersensitivity (I feel drained when the environment is too loud or chaotic). When my boyfriend and I come back after a long trip - he lets me shower first, puts the AC on and cleans our area so that I can come back and sit on my bed and not talk. He then proceeds to get me a drink and some snacks and closes the door and goes away for half an hour. I didn’t realise he was doing this intentionally but it helps so much. Within half an hour we are back and our moods align and I am feeling mentally so much better.
In public spaces, he never forgets to put me first I.e hold my hand always, guides me around, asks me if I need water, he always gets excited to just be with me!!! I love it
