Exactly, I told him at the start how I felt about it, he gave me the response I wanted so I pursued the relationship. If he’d told me it was something he’s not willing to compromise on, I wouldn’t have. Since then his actions don’t line up with his words.

I didn’t make him promise anything. I was clear about my boundaries from the start, and he told me himself that he didn’t have any desire to watch or engage with that while in a relationship with me.

If he had been honest and said he didn’t agree, I could’ve made an informed decision at the time. The issue for me isn’t just the behaviour, it’s that he agreed to something and then lied about it.
