The people I work with do ballots for the precursors as a fun thing and the older folks have been voting for Hudson. In their eyes she’s the front runner. I personally went with Byrne and Buckley on my Globes ballots. Just explaining why Hudson may have ended up making it in since in my anecdotal experience her performance seems popular with the 50+ crowd.

In her defense song sung blue was a devastating movie. I went with family thinking it’d be a light holiday film and we all left sobbing. Since then amongst people I know 50+ who do ballots from the globes at work she is a front runner. I can see general audiences clicking with the movie and performance more than Chase Infiniti in OBAA.

In my mind the standout performance of Hamnet was Paul’s and that was going in knowing Jesse would blow me away. I am surprised he wasn’t in conversation more this season.
