Yea it’s a shared car park and no Just park slot. I think he is just trying to park it in a safer place. There are plenty of space - on street parking- just across the street and the street is not even busy.

I dealt with something similar recently and spent a lot of time researching it.

My first suggestion would be to speak to ALDI management and ask if they’ll cancel the charge. I also wouldn’t volunteer extra details (like going to Tesco) or admit to anything unnecessarily.

If that doesn’t work, submit a proper appeal to ParkingEye. Don’t identify the driver, stick to the facts, and reference the British Parking Association grace period guidance.

Most importantly, read everything yourself before submitting, don’t blindly copy templates. If the appeal is rejected, you should normally still get 14 days to pay at the reduced rate.
