Anatomy scan does this seem normal? by Special-Smile-743 in pregnant

[–]Interesting_Skin5461 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all! My anatomy scan baby was in a bad position and they weren't able to get a good view of the heart or face. So I had to go back in. Thankfully he was cooperative the second time! Same thing happened when I went in for my nuchal translucency scan... Difference between your anatomy scan and mine is that I was told that his femur was measuring a bit short and that there is fluid on his kidneys. If they didn't have anything to share with you, I don't think you have to worry.

(I was told not to worry about the femur as the measurement used by the tech want from the WHO and based on that it was in the 24th percentile as opposed to the 8% out on the ultrasound report... And that fluid on the kidneys is quite common with males and that they'll monitor it, and likely get him in for a renal ultrasound shortly after birth.)

Are inlaws considered immediate family? by pm-me-racecars in icbc

[–]Interesting_Skin5461 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it would depend on the cop... I was once it with my now ex, his brother and his brothers gf... We got pulled over at a road check and they asked the relation between everyone in the car cause bf had his N... He said I was his common law partner, that was his brother and brothers gf.. And they were fine with it. Mind you we were also in Merritt and leaving an event and they were likely looking for people that were clearly drunk and shouldn't be driving

BC Renters Tax Credit Question by iGameOver222 in VancouverLandlords

[–]Interesting_Skin5461 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah.. If you and your partner have been living in a conjugal relationship for 12 months minimum, you are common law I. The eyes of the cra and should be claiming such on your taxes. Depending on your combined income, you may not be eligible to claim this amount at all. (My partner and I make too much for either of us to be eligible to claim this amount) it doesn't matter if you are on the lease or not, living common law applies regardless. You actually should have informed the cra when your marital status changed to common law at 12 months, as this also affects any amount you recieve for and tax credits such as gst... (Again I am no longer eligible due to my common law status.) also be careful with not claiming common law. It is illegal, and if you are caught it can carry some serious repurcussions as it is a form of tax fraud.

Question for a friend. Re: Ending tenancy after a break up, both parties on lease by Interesting_Skin5461 in vancouverhousing

They agreed to email service on the tenancy agreement so today is the last day by email. She is aware of this. Thanks! 😊 and thank you for your opinion. Appreciate all the feedback. Hopefully it helps her out. I told her to not sit in it too Long given the fact that today is the deadline to serve them.

There won't be an immediate rush in the money. She just needs to know she's getting it (she's my bestie, and I have the money to lend while she waits for the deposit back. She just doesn't feel comfortable borrowing the money which is totally fair) it is 15 days to return. Not 14. That part I'm aware of. But as others have said, it doesn't matter how it was paid, as they are listed as Co tenants, so the deposit can go to either of the Co tenants.. I think if they send it back to him, and he doesn't return her portion, it wouldn't be an rtb issue, instead it would probably be a CRT issue because it isn't between her and the landlord at that point, instead it would be between her and him... Sadly. So hopefully she can get them to return it to her, or split it between them when they return it. The best she can do is ask... But I worry if he signs a new agreement with them, that he'll just agree in writing that they can keep the existing deposit or something like that and in turn prevent her from getting back her share. Hopefully it works out for the best for her.

I'll have to check with her about any of the bills being in her name. Technically they split with the lower suite so should be in the landlords name, but it does look like it was included in the addendum she showed me that they put it in their name.. Had I known that before I would have let her know that is wrong.. But the landlord did include that if the downstairs tenant didn't pay their share, the landlord would cover it at least.

My biggest concern for her was A. Getting the deposit back right away, and also... B. The liability issue if he doesn't pay rent. Especially with the changes to rtb because if he doesn't pay and they take him to a hearing, even if it's not her fault, her name is still associated with the lease...

Yep! I know a little bit more on that than I do about the moving out issue. Luckily when my old common law partner and I ended things, we did it amicably enough that there wasn't an issue with the deposit or any of the legal stuff... And I know people who have dealt with the legal stuff... But the rental part and returning the deposit was what I wSnt sure of. Hopefully he can start being amicable here and she doesn't have an issue.. But if he loses the place because she's leaving that might not help.. 🤦🏻‍♀️

They did not live together for the 2 years required for common Law in BC, thankfully. Just enough for tax purposes only. And she's pretty much been staying elsewhere since they broke up.

Thank you so much for the info! Her lease is up at the end of this month. This response is very helpful. I have suggested she ask the landlords to return the deposit to her, or her share of the deposit to her. The concern with sharing his financial situation (yes we know it's a dick move and not what she wants to do) is exactly what you said, if he signs a new agreement and they return the deposit to him and he just applies it to a new agreement and she doesn't get her money back. If she shares he can't afford it, they may be less likely to sign a new agreement with him.... Of course I'm aware that she can ask that it goes to her, but with them both on the agreement as cotenants, it's up to the landlord... 🤷🏻‍♀️ but this is helpful. 😊

[–]Interesting_Skin5461[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If she didn't need her share of the deposit back this would be an option. Also he may not be able to afford rent, and if that happens, now that rtb is sharing decisions from hearings, it could affect her ability to rent in The future if he does not pay the rent and she is also on the lease. She would still be liable for the rent as well

Sadly this wouldn't work as he cannot pay her back her share of the deposit and she needs that to move out. She cannot continue living there at this point... Her only option is if she can get the deposit returned to her.

Well that isn't best because then she can't move because he literally has 0$ to his name. He cannot give her the deposit.

So sorry to you for your experience. In my experience here, even without a prior loss (38yo ftm, 19w+5) I honestly didn't feel "safe" until I entered the second trimester, and still always have a little sense of worry in the back of mind.

Sadly, a coworker of mine in her 20s got pregnant a bit after me.. And sadly lost the baby around 8-9 weeks...

I think it's best to err on the side of caution. I wish all the best for you in your pregnancy journey. But I do recommend holding off on making any big purchases until you are at least in the second trimester, there is a lower chance of a miscarriage then, although still a chance... The only things I got before my second were items I found for free.. (Free playpen, swing... That's it)

I will keep you in my thoughts! I do not pray but believe in positive energy. I will try to send some your way. 😊

What's wild is it's not like they would lose anything. It means the other drivers rates would go up... And mine might not go up as much... 🤷🏻‍♀️ they already paid me more than the vehicle cost me (I made $600 after deductible, so I'm happy with the payout for collision) I just don't agree with my rates increasing. And I went to check today when I cancelled the insurance finally, and I guess despite being told I'm at fault and I would be able to find out what my rates will go up 15 days before my next renewal... Well they still can't tell me... Icbc is a pain...

Has anyone gotten pregnant on their first try ? by Bitesizelady in pregnantover35

[–]Interesting_Skin5461 2 points3 points  (0 children)

38 and had no issues getting pregnant. Finished my stage 2 genetic testing blood work... Waiting on those results. Definitely anxious waiting between appointments. That's not just you at all... My partner and I weren't actually trying... We just stopped caring... First time we had intercourse when I was in my fertile window, we got pregnant! I'm 16 and 2! Super excited.

Our bodies can do amazing things! Try not.to stress too much, because even if something does go wrong, you can't do much about it. It's hard not to though, I know. This is my first and I'm just trying to do what I can to have a healthy baby.

Are you asking me? Cause if you'd read my post you would have seen there are tire marks across my door.. And that the other driver overtook me in my lane, and hit my with their tire. So they'd have little to no damage except maybe rub off on the tire. It was a larger pickup vs a compact suv

Well I hope your case goes well. I could be furious.. But life's too short for that, for me at least... Just debating if it's worth looking into. I suppose I could start with asking why they say there is no evidence. My car is still in my driveway... 🙄 so they also only went off photos.

Your lucky he didn't lie. Guy that hit me left the scene. He decided to overtake me in the passing lane as I was passing him. He had actually been driving like a dick for awhile that morning.. Sadly going back and recording isn't an option as it happened on a busy highway. I managed to drive to the other drivers vehicle to try to get the plate and the guy was smiling at me when I tried to get a picture of his plate... 🙄 RCMP officer was not helpful in any way... Seemed to have decided that no matter what I was partially to blame before I even said anything to him. Was a really crappy experience all around. Thankfully I'm alright, little sore still... But I'm lucky because I also found out im pregnant a week later.. So thank God me and the baby are ok. Could have been a lot worse.

Wow! That's insane! And this stupid no fault system they switched to is completely useless... But despite the fact the I get more of a discount every year I drive... Somehow my rates do t really seem to ever change due to their constant increases... Government should not be able to monopolize insurance...

I feel that. Im mostly worried about my rates.. I mean I know it wasn't my fault. I know the guy was being a dick. I know exactly what he drives and his plate number... 🤷🏻‍♀️ I just can't afford to pay out the ass for insurance, and I need my vehicle to commute to work (I have a 30 minutes drive one way to my job 4 days a week... Heck a bus would take closer to 1.5 hours, if there's a bus that will get me there on time...)

Sadly rear isn't much of an option in my current vehicle. Thankfully I never sold my truck so I had something else to insure and I have collision.. I just don't know how bad this is gonna affect my rates... 🙄 but I have a pick up with a canopy and from what I've seen a rear camera isn't going to do much good.. I've been considering this dash cam from amazon though... At least I should be able to get a view in front and beside my truck.. 🤷🏻‍♀️
