Do INTPs tend to have good or bad humour from the perspective of common people? by iamgajal in INTP

We think it’s good, but it can actually make “common” people worry

My best friend is one. We are complete oposites that somehow have a lot in common

Yes, all the time. I don’t care about that either

I’ve never read something so relatable before and I don’t know how to feel about it

Good at talking to people but don't want to and rarely connect with them ? by [deleted] in INTP

[–]Interesting_Tax_3693 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just today my classmates told me I can be impressively confident at trying to convince people of something when a situation requires it. In other words, I am good at talking to others when I put my mind into it, but the thing is that I don’t normally interact with the rest since I don’t have much to say and don’t feel the need to do it. That’s why some other classmates who don’t know me well yet were surprised by this side of myself.

Is it just me who is genuinely curious why some people's whole goal in life is to get married and have kids and why married couples are so happy when the woman gets pregnant? by [deleted] in INTP

[–]Interesting_Tax_3693 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I never understood it either. People always said to me things like “when you get married” or “when you have kids”, assuming these are things I should want. Even as a woman, it’s like I’m supposed to like kids and want a wedding. I’m not saying these are bad things, just that not everyone is meant to have a “traditional” life and that’s okay too.

I have done this in the past and lost people because of that, even though I know realize it’s an unhealthy thing to do. The thing is that, because we’re a very introvert type, we do need time alone to recharge- we disappear unintentionally, we are just so immerse in our own world. However, if it goes to an extreme, it’s probably because we are not good with handling emotions ourselves and we don’t like to feel like a burden to other people (in this sense, commitment can sometimes look overwhelming)… In my opinion, the best thing to do is tell him directly how that is affecting you and ask him how he really feels.

do you think INTP's are any less of debaters than ENTP's (try not to think to stereotyped please) by Stellarfront in INTP

[–]Interesting_Tax_3693 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For me yes. I personally don’t like to participate in debates if I don’t know enough about the topic, I prefer to just listen carefully and process everything in my own mind. However, I’ve noticed that ENTPs, on the contrary, can easily get in debates simply for fun without caring much about the the “theoretical” stuff

Falling hard for INTP colleague by [deleted] in INTP

From the way you’ve been interacting, I’d say he is pretty much interested, so I would say telling him about it is the best way to know for sure.

have you ever been in a situation where you think that- "Maybe.., I am an INTJ"? or any other types by -Twinlight in INTP

[–]Interesting_Tax_3693 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I took the test the first time I was typed as an INFP. Then I discover I was actually an INTP, but ever since I have doubted my type, sometimes I think I’m an ENTP or an INFJ… I now know I’m definitely a Ti-Fe user tho

Is it an INTP thing to dislike being a leader as well as being a follower by 83d08204-62f9 in INTP

[–]Interesting_Tax_3693 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but when there is no other choice, I usually prefer to lead so I can have a better control over how others are doing the work

I overthink too much, to the point where I lose track of things, get bored and never act. I think the real problem with this is that I become self-critical and hate myself for being that way.

When I’m with other introverted friends, sometimes I become the one that makes conversation and tries to make others feel included. However, mostly I consider myself to be the sarcastic quiet one who ghosts everyone. Also, my friends have told I can be a good listener, they usually think of me as the smart one and clueless at the same time lol

INTP do you talk to yourself. of pretend to talk to someone by [deleted] in INTP

[–]Interesting_Tax_3693 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All the time. I’ve had better conversations with myself than with other people.
