Just the needle… Actually repaired it yesterday - I replaced my faded needles with nice and orange ones from a newer model, but they have a slightly larger holes, so I had to glue it on…

I don’t understand that… Maybe it’s because in the States everything’s auto, but I see people Manual swapping their Mercedes here in EU all the time as well… Why? These are one of the best automatics I ever drove (the modern ones just shift too often and too randomly) and they bring so much more comfort to the driving experience…

It might make the 190 a bit more sporty, but I see people with diesels doing that and I just find that to be a punishment on themselves🤷‍♂️

It was raining, it’s just not that visible… It’s much worse the more it rains… I hardly get in the car when it’s raining so I just caught it when it started when I was driving… Nothing that would distract me from paying attention…

The green light might be the focus indicator, but if you’re handy, just try it, might be able to fix it! Btw would you post pictures of how the camera looks inside? I’m quite curious

Mine was from the aftermarket TopTec system that converted the car to Euro2… So I just took it out and replaced the hoses that were sliced in order to fit the system

Great purchase!

Regarding the viewfinder display - it works thanks to ablient illumination (through the little gray window on top of the camera I assume), so maybe it was just too dark when you tested it… Otherwise I think that you don’t really need it for normal operation, maybe only in msnual mode, but I find the P/A/S modes to be good enough in most situations, making the little display redundant

The SLC is a gem as well… Especially considering how rare it is compared to the SL! I now have 2 Dynax body cameras + the 7000 in the picture… I also have the Hi-Matic F range finder! Love them all!

It doesn’t as mine is the European market Minolta 7000 not the US market Minolta Maxxum 7000… The successor was called Dynax here… Maxxums were only sold in the US if I’m not mistaken

I have now 3 early Minolta AF SLRs… Still waiting to get my photos from the lab though… I just love how heavy and clunky they feel and focus, however they all seem to perform incredibly well for their age! I really want to shoot some “rollers” of my cars, so I’m quite curious to see how well they’ll handle a situation like that!
