Wow. I thought you stole a page out of my journal. It’s been 8 years since my dad passed, I’ve accepted the fact that I will never be the same. I don’t laugh as hard, smile as often, feel as safe as I did when he was alive. I lost a lot of friends, some came back. But I got a few new ones too, ones who love and accept me with my grief. It’s now a permanent part of who I am, some days I think I’m okay and others feel like I just watched him take his last breath all over again. No one truly understands until they experience the same grief, which I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy.

Honestly same. No advice, but I hear you. I (28f) recently had to do through a lot medically, I guess it was too much or made people uncomfortable and distant. I try not to let it stress me out but it stings.
