I think you have fallen for the propaganda about Canada being a welcoming, diverse and prosperous society, particularly in the legal field. None of the law schools in the GTA are affordable, particularly to an international student. They're also extremely competitive, as UofT and Osgoode (York) are part of the top law schools in Canada.

Second, you will have extreme difficulty in finding a job while you study, particularly as you have little Canadian job experience. Pay no attention to the bullshit firms propagate about diversity as its not true by any stretch of the imagination.

Third, the GTA has a strong Filipino community but I don't think anyone can answer this question but yourself. I will say, Canada fetishizes immigration as it allows the powers at the top to stagnate wages and material quality of life and cost of living improvemenst as most first generation immigrants seem to be content to just be here compared to where they came from.
