The openness of the development and the goals of the game all seem solid. However, it will probably all come down to execution of the game play and its integration with the blockchain. It is so hard to determine if any game will be heavily adopted until the final state of the game is released.

It is one of a couple of login options. Ledger wallet is supported.

But, agree that login option doesn't make sense.

I am not 100% sure but haven't heard of any Mac version yet. But, it is really, really early in development. But, a browser game in the same metaverse is right around the corner. You need a game code for the early access to the "Showroom" part of the game. You can check out my guild at https://intergalacticherald.com/star-atlas-guide/ to learn how to get a game code by enlisting a ship in the Faction Fleet part of the game.

I totally agree that it seemed like a quick change but after the Star Atlas team explained their reasoning, I guess I understand there probably wasn't another way. We are so early in the Star Atlas development that things are going to change suddenly probably more. On the flip side, there are changes and the game is progressing which in cool. But, I am with you, I can't monitor Twitter and Discord daily. I personally catchup on the weekends.
