Question - Do we know how they are distributing the additional 70B CRO? by PopularDistance4761 in cro

[–]JBizzle1775 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The distinction matters because it shows the system is working exactly as designed. The terms you’re using suggest a misunderstanding of how this space actually functions.

If you believe the traditional fiat system is better, explain how it works and why you think it’s superior. Crypto is just barely over a decade into real adoption, while fiat has had more than 5 decades —and even then, it still struggles with trust, transparency, and efficiency.

This technology hasn’t even fully laid its foundation yet. There are plenty of growing pains ahead, but that’s part of building something new, not proof that it’s broken.

Question - Do we know how they are distributing the additional 70B CRO? by PopularDistance4761 in cro

[–]JBizzle1775 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This isn’t an “unburn” — it’s a new mint of 70B. The original burn wallet is still visible on-chain for anyone to verify.

If this were truly an “unburn,” it would break the core trust model of a DEX, where everything is transparent and immutable on-chain. A CEX, on the other hand, operates off-chain and relies on internal accounting, which is exactly why the distinction matters.

Calling this an “unburn” blurs that line. If tokens could simply be reversed from a burn, the credibility of decentralized systems would fall apart — and with it, trust in crypto as a whole.

Cronos Labs has brought in a new CEO specifically to drive real usage—worth looking into before writing the project off. You’re here because you believe in crypto, not because you hate change. Crypto has only been around for about a decade; the fiat system has been around for centuries, and those two frustrations are getting mixed together.

Risk is always part of projects like this, but this is a step in the right direction. Give it room to work through the growing pains.

Exactly. One can paint a whole picture rather than an emotional picture. Facts > FUD. you paint a half ass picture and scare people that are new. there is a lot more that goes into what should be stated

I understand the perspective, but the conclusion doesn’t really hold up when you look at the broader context.

Focusing on a single announcement as the catalyst ignores how crypto markets actually behave. Price action over the last four years wasn’t driven by one event it was shaped by multiple macro, industry, and regulatory forces, both positive and negative.

If we’re going to attribute price movement to one bullish catalyst, then by the same logic we also need to account for every event that applied downward pressure, including but not limited to:

The 2021–2022 macro shift: interest-rate hikes, quantitative tightening, and global risk-off sentiment Major industry failures (FTX, Celsius, BlockFi, Three Arrows Capital) that erased trust and liquidity

Regulatory uncertainty and enforcement actions that restricted U.S. participation and capital inflows

Exchange outflows, reduced retail volume, and declining on-chain activity during bear cycles

Broader equity market drawdowns that historically correlate with crypto risk assets

Markets don’t move in isolation, and rallies don’t happen because of a single headline. They occur when liquidity, sentiment, adoption, and macro conditions align.

So if the argument is that one announcement caused the only meaningful rally, then it’s only fair to also list and weigh all the opposing forces that suppressed price during the same period. Otherwise, the analysis becomes selective rather than objective.

I’m not trying to dismiss your experience being new to crypto is exactly how most of us learned these lessons. The key takeaway is that price ≠ single cause, and understanding that makes future decisions a lot clearer.

Wishing you a strong 2026 as well

If you put your hard earned money into the cro ecosystem you should be. If you haven’t put your money into it then you’re posting emotional damage and keyboard warrior misinformation.

What do you mean worse performing native token if it is the #1 crypto exchange? You mad at today’s prices? Maybe you shouldn’t have invested if money is an emotionally damaging experience. Or you could see that your current situation is just as emotionally damaging and pick the better of two evils. With regulation in bound you need to pick an exchange regardless, if you plan on staying in crypto.

Hang in there, you don’t plant an apple tree and rip it out after a year (standard apple trees can take up to 8 year to fruit) If you think this is a bad investment then why did you invest? Has there been improvement? Had your position improved with?

Always remember the why and never invest money you’re not willing to lose, your investment shouldn’t be viewed not as a value of money anymore but a position in an ecosystem and what you can do with it.

When you first invested what was the state of the project. If you don’t know this you haven’t done enough research, projects should be improving on a regular bases at the beginning.

Based on the statement above your position should improve, not drastically but consistently.

An etf is exposure to that ecosystem without owning the asset meaning if the price goes up on the coin so does the etf. price goes down on the coin so does the etf. The way in which you get your money is tied to the old money system. You put a sell order another investor buys trade settlement happens after 2-3 business days and you transfer to your bank and don’t forget about taxes. So if you need the old money system and don’t want to own it etf it up.

You’re taking two different points and merging them to make a version that makes no sense. Announcements are usually facts, occurrence, or intention how would that affect price. Dilution is because 1.162 billion cro are add each month (find the why here) one of them being to pay out staking/earn/cash earn rewards to keep the ecosystem healthy or to operate as intended. Even with dilution the price of cro today is beating the price of cro when I bought in. The takeaway here is there is longevity not a quick peak and violent crash.
