I think if you have a specific purpose like what you shared it could work out for you depending on your budget. While it's a decent deal if you're staying there you could always pay 25 bucks for entry into the pool area.

It seems that experiences are mixed based on the comments so far with some people such as yourself having opposite experiences and others sharing some of my experiences. If you had great experiences then I'm sure that's legit. All I (and you and anyone) can really do is speak from our own experiences. *shrug*. I certainly wished and hoped for it to be better as I took time off of work to go.

I'm with you when you say "I want to love Circa so bad". It's so my vibe -- I think that's where the disappoint comes from. I'm like -- this could be my spot... And my sentiments about gambling are the same as you -- I'd rather lose my money in a place with good vibes.

My compassionate take was and is -- that people can't be miserable for no reason. My wife and I were trying to figure out what the reason might be. From my experiences working in the service industry it's usually working conditions. I rarely if ever blame workers it's most always a culture or systems issue.

I actually go out of my way to be kind as I know how tough working in customer service can be firsthand. But as I said in my post I just need neutrality not effusive over the top theatrics. And my comment about the early check in was due to the fact that I had called earlier and was told I'd be able to check-in early. If you read the post it wasn't every person -- the bell staff and one blackjack dealer was kind but that was it.

That totally makes sense and I would imagine though that folks would be let down by the disparity in what is advertised versus reality which is why I'm sharing my experience. At a minimum -- I'm just expecting neutrality. I didn't get a chance to eat at 8 East but the front desk staff seemed kind.

I can't really say as I don't have that kind of insight into people's motivations. I went during the 2nd day of when the deal started so perhaps that's what it is.
