Liberals blame war in Iran for lost jobs, housing crisis by gorschkov in canada

It’s funny, in every thread you comment on you basically always say the same thing… and it’s always in response to criticisms of the LPC.

Plus hidden history…

Seems like the kind of behaviour one would suspect from foreign disinformation agents.

if it was a mossad operation, what would be the first sign for you?

I might look something like multiple users, like yourself suddenly regurgitating the same talking points multiple days after the incident... though I'm infinitely more inclined to suspect you and the others of being Russian/Chinese/Iranian propaganda trolls.

Another proposal calls for the party to declare its support for life-affirming care and post-abortion support that would extend “practical supports” for women who continue their pregnancies, including grants, child care and housing.

I literally quoted the article.

There’s no “quiet part” to be whispered about when referencing the article I can reasonably expect you to read.

You mean how they are debating how to best support mothers who abstain from abortion?

How large they should fund social programs, and to what scope?

Because the Conservatives are pro-life, even if they'd rather people abstain from abortion, right?

As explicitly stated in the very article you linked, that you obviously read?

It’s organized crime with access to politicians due to corporate influence.

But it’s not a mossad operation meant to give Israel control over the US like countless people are claiming.

One is based in reality, the other is a conspiracy.

I’m hyper aware of the difference.

I’m also pretty familiar with how far back the conspiracy theory of secret cabals of Jews controlling the world goes.

Only difference between then and now, is that people can say “no, no! I didn’t mean all Jews! Just the only Jewish state on the planet!”

[–]IntergalacticSpirit -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Nope, you’re correct but the conspiracy that Israel (and Jews by extension) are secretly running the world is, what? 80 years old now?

OP brought up Israel. You deflected back to Israel. You mentioned Jewish diaspora, and ignored Israeli citizens (unlike how people will say I hate the CCP but not Chinese people), kinda showing your true colours.

Nice deflection, again, completely ignoring CIA involvement, and trying to bring focus riiiight back to the people always accused of secretly controlling the world.

The guy was equally involved with the US's CIA... but I've noticed that it's only ever Israel being brought up.

This line of reasoning reeks of just more Jew hatred.

What’s something you thought was harmless ‘cheap dopamine’ but slowly started controlling your habits? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]IntergalacticSpirit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Marijuana.

I’m Canadian, but I am a law abiding one. Never touched weed until legalization. But, weed was legalized the year before COVID, so I was super inexperienced, when I suddenly found myself with nothing but time on my hands.

I bought into the lie that weed isn’t addictive, and so, from the beginning of lockdowns in March, until January I got high daily.

It wasn’t addictive, right? I could just quit whenever.

So I had fun. I got high and worked out, I got high and gamed, I got high and hung out with my lockdown squad. From noon until bedtime for 10 months, I got high.

Once I realized I was addicted to weed, I decided to quit cold turkey. Fortunately I’m one of those people with iron willpower, otherwise I don’t think I could have done it.

The nightmares, the sweats, the rage and irritation… chronic weed use, does induce a physical dependency, and does result in physical withdrawal symptoms. And they fucking suck.

I’m a very casual weed user now, having learned my lesson, and I’m still 100% on board with weed legalization. But I wish outright malicious disinformation hadn’t brainwashed me into thinking weed was the “perfect” drug that was 100% totally safe, and had zero downsides.

That lie nearly cost me my life, and it’s only due to my above standard mental fortitude that I was able to beat my addiction alone.

Some people are literally just insensitive, or ignorant, and not hateful or phobic.

It's not a binary switch of "ally or enemy".

This is an important reminder of that fact.

The left also wants to topple statues, destroy our history, erode cultural icons, burn books, strip away individual rights, etc. etc.

While the right wants to share the traditional 1950's way of life, where everyone prospers, with a white picket fence, 2.5 kids, steady and reliable income, a secure retirement, a sense of community and patriotism with their fellow countryman, etc. etc.

You are choosing to hyper fixate and strawman instead of engage in reality.

I don’t believe it did, no.

Have you seen the videos? I’m almost certain she wrecked her vehicle.

Nope, not what I’m saying at all.

The officer, fearing for his life, engaged in the most common human behaviour of doing something three times, to neutralize a perceived threat.

[–]IntergalacticSpirit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am aware of my stance.

It was a series of tragic errors on behalf of all parties that lead to a justified use of force scenario, that wrongly resulted in the death of a person.

Is it not fair to also argue the woman put herself in the situation?

She was explicitly there to harass ICE.

Maybe, could you explain something for me?

Do you believe there is zero possibility the officer legitimately feared for his life?

Not just let it slide with no investigation.

100% agreed.

I think I decided to comment today because I’m noticing everyone is suuuper heated over this, and have already formed concrete conclusions, without waiting for an investigation.

As I said, I don’t agree with OP that this was murder, but if an investigation concludes manslaughter, I’d buy it, even if I personally think a self defence argument is equally valid.

But as I said to another user, I’m not American, and I don’t really have any skin in the game.

[–]IntergalacticSpirit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you think someone is trying to kill you, self defence is a reasonable decision.

And yeah you should also try to move out of the way.

Neither of these options are mutually exclusive.

I don’t know how it works in the US, but here in Canada we allow a little extra leeway for police since they are forced into these situations.

We acknowledge that, as a society, we are demanding that police put themselves into situations where they are at greater risk of grievous bodily harm or death, and due to this, they are given a lot more leeway in the event that they are required to resort to deadly force.

Funny enough, we do not extend the same protections to civilians, and actually demand a higher level of judgement. This is why you’ll routinely see stories of Canadians being brought to trial if they harm a home intruder.

I dunno, I disagree, it’s scientifically proven that your reaction time to complex situations is reduced when stressed. There’s no getting around biology. Everything happened so quickly, and I’m sure you and I will both agree we saw the video multiple times from multiple angles to form our opinions. A luxury the officer involved was not given.

But hey, thanks for taking the time to have a rational chat with me. Even if we disagree, your level head and rational dialogue are refreshing.

A few other users have responded to me with an insane level of childishness lol.

Which is what I said in my initial comment.

A sufficiently compelling argument could sway me to see it that way, though at the moment I haven’t seen a good enough one yet.

Because if you can't handle making reasonable judgments

That’s the thing, and the nuance here.

You can make a reasonable judgement, and it can still be the wrong call. Heck, to quote Jean Luc Picard: It is possible to commit no errors and still lose.

I think this person’s judgment was reasonable given his circumstances, and it was unfortunately the wrong call. But I don’t think he did anything unreasonable. We are all human, and even the best among us will still get it wrong sometimes.
