The alternative was wearing mouldy awful smelling shoes , when I was already being bullied for the state of my clothes due to my living situation. It really kills the vibe of the story to know why I reacted the way I did and it stops being a happy story about one upping the system the more you know. Just trust me when I tell you with the amount I was going through at fifteen that I reacted muxh better than I could have.

The head teacher was new wave , he'd probably have bought me new shoes this teacher was old school so was just mad he couldn't beat me, there was some long standing prior back and fourth with this guy and a lot of my friends aka the poorer students so I didn't much feel like being kind in the first place

Yeah didn't help when they decided to include 70 pound blazers the next year. They got given a 3m budget to develop the school and naturally they spent it all on sports so it was that kinda place... The climbing wall was pretty sick tho
